Completely resonable, the Black seats on the Model 3 when it hits the sun burns horrible, so thankfully they now have Cooled seats, the lightning can be but on the older ones but still nice to see it and yes is more quiet than the older one.

The best value performance car is a used model 3 performance. Some as low as 20k miles for $25k. 2021+ model years. I’ll take $25-30k in savings compared to new and wait 5 years for the newer refresh to tank 40-60% as well. 😅

Plaid has model S quality of life things like a driver display, alcantara headliner, air suspension, etc. It does have a longer wheelbase but me personally I would choose a model s every time.

That’s seems a bit on the extreme end, but I think they’re expected to last at least 200 or 300k. Either way they will reliably last longer than internal combustion engines

Once the juniper hits you’ll see a lot more model Y as cheap as the threes. I’m between a LR/Performance model 3/Y 2021+. The value you get is insane with both, 3’s are going for average $2-4k less then most Y’s as of 11/4/24.
You would have to intentionally kill your Tesla and I’m sure autopilot would disengage way before it died like 10 miles or so. It’s impossible to accidentally kill a Tesla with how many warnings you’d get.
Used Tesla will be cheaper to run $ per mile long term. Even if you compared a used $5k Toyota to a used $15k Tesla. The Tesla eventually beats the long term cost of running and is much faster/has more options.

Call me crazy but... I swapped my 2018 for the 2024 because of the cooled seats, lighting and it's just super quiet on the road
They started to use double glass and it significantly decreased road noise

Do you have version 12.5? I believe that is when the steering wheel nag gets removed. Personally I am still on 12.3.6 so I still get the notification

Does Tesla limit their old cars from getting software updates?
No, but some times it takes a while longer to get the full self driving updates on the older models because they run older hardware.
My 2016 Model S still gets software updates to this day.
