When I thought that Takara was losing interest in Transformers Masterpiece figures (the MPM Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime comes to mind), they bring out something like this.
Maybe the nicest G1 MP yet. They knocked this one out of the park.

A starscream we deserved! Takara strongest point is their sculpts! They have flaws, but they are hard to beat with sculpts! Great review! Like he walked right off the screen!! For the price point should've had the coronation set!

I just got mine a few hours ago. OMG!!! Best Screamer, or Transformer for that matter, EVER! I am buying another he’s so awesome. Mine thankfully doesn’t have any of the QC issues in the joints. The only prob I have is one tiny paint chip that is on the bottom of the metal crotch part. (I think I caused it 1st transformation :( )

I still have the MP-03. I have it in plane mode. It hides well the robot when in alt mode. I really like this figure's robot mode. I can pass the small height.
As always, great review, but that faux chest is really bugging me, I don’t know what is so difficult about making the cockpit become the chest, many other companies have done it, new age for example.
Ehhh smaller scale I'm sure is easier to pull off. I dont mind it at all. Thank you for taking time out to watch this review. 😀

Great review! I love the overall design of the robot mode, but wow, so many tabs! This has got to be one of the more complex transformations. Does the complexity take away from the fun?

It looks sweet but I can't spend more money on these Seekers. I'm good with the previous molds. I'm not planning on replacing my collection again but I'm curios when will Takara/Hasbro have a new MP. I would love it if they continue with some more G1 and finish up the 80's movie version MP too...even though 3rd Party companies have made them but I only collect official MPs. Don't get me wrong, I've been tempted on buying some 3rd Party MPs! hahahah!

I really miss the angled shoulder vanes (and the chest missiles) on my Maketoys but I like the better poseability and more expressive wings.
If MP-03 had been anywhere near this good, I wouldn't've passed, but I think MPs are way to expensive to go down the swapping out and upgrading route (although the MP Skids has me tempted...) so I'll stick with my Maketoys.
If they get as far as Ramjet and Thrust, though, it'd test my patience on my Maketoys preorders...

Very happy with my purchase, not always the case with Takara anymore, sadly. he is the one tho, Make WHO? couldn't ever do it, I don't like my figures with diapers and lady hips ;) (like megs).

I hesitate to buy any more $265 Masterpiece figures when Threezero will eventually make a superior 'Starscream' for half the cost.

I know there has been a lot of hype and positive reaction to this MP release but I’m not a fan of this new mould. For me the Make Toys version is still the best version of Starscream, though the Deformation who are releasing a version looks similar to MT but cleaner. I know I’m being optimistic but I’m still going to sit and wait for FT to do the seekers, they pretty much have the mould with a previously released Arielbot so it shouldn’t be too difficult to modify to become a seeker.

I see the deformation space one as a cleaner version of this mp-52. It has potential to be the best out of all of then
Happy that you like it but I'm not impressed at all by this, it seems really flimsy and unstable, the alt mode is a joke, it's the "whole robot under the jet" you expect from an Hasbro mainline, lack of waist swivel is pretty much not acceptable on such a premium figure. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive to be able to judge with it in hands tho, i might change my mind

Dude, you couldn’t take the wall socket covers off or at the very least, taped around them when you painted that awesome orange wall? C’mon now.
Didn't paint it. The whole paint job is bad. Moving next year and will redo it anyways. It will be ok

Question: did g1 starscream ever turned his waist in g1 show
To be honest I don't think so. Most comments I read online said they never really saw him use it. Still would of been nice to have it but it was a easy work around it. Thank you very much for watching this 😀

MO - NOT IMPRESSED for several reasons & am passing on him & them (52+) #1 REASON - PRICE GOUGING PRICE POINT = RIP OFF
Negatives: 1) ODD Dimensions/Proportions 2) Barrel Chested 3) Thin Thighs/Thick Calves 4) Knee is set too far back 5) Head overly large 6) Under Tall 7) Not fond of the backpack
Positives: 1) Alt mode looks Fantastic! 2) Engineering is good 3) Extras MAKETOYS METEOR for the WIN! for me Will wait for a KO

i would be fine if it where dirt white or at least not that much gray, but not a deal breaker though.
Gotta admit the lack of paint on the fins is disturbing. A brand new Masterpiece and i STILL will have to head to toyhax to complete it, FUDGE!!
Those cluster bombs i could live without. Im not from a country that owns F-15s, but from those planes i DO have touched and seen up close the wings are too thin to store such things, and if they would store anything, it would be jet fuel.
If the fingers are gonna be articulated, why do them curved? the figure cant point and the only 2 gestures that will look decent is thumbs up or F U. All or nothing please, not a middle ground, that wont satisfy anybody
That head though, FINALLY not a white wash of him, its so annoying when they try doing Starscream generic white face, as far as G1 goes, his face was always darker than the other 2, and not because of lighting.
What i DO miss with this version is ability to apply on Megatron so it looks like hes strangling Starscream, just to have some fun like Maketoys Despotron did. But thanks for giving a stand, hopefully it wont be cheaped out for the other 2, but as you showed, it sucks in robot mode.
Over all i think the transformation is over engineered and not something i would call enjoyable, rather have it more like New age seekers. Style wise i get a heavy 86 movie vibe from it, and calling it V2 isnt that insulting? I mean we had Green scream that goes for sale for a minor car, we have the white version and we have MP-11. Even if we count roughly, thats still 2 before MP52, or did Takara do a reset at MP10?
Nitpick over, awsome that he looks good in 2 modes, just a shame transformation is getting more and more annoyingly complex for no reason.
