Since 1989 (ROAD TO HELL)he's been my daily stepping stones through life, and he's damned sure solidly in all my music devices today . HIS MUSICIANSHIP and vocalists ingenuity is unreal. Although I love all the albums, seeing Chris Rea live is the only way to really appreciate his genius. I am blessed to have been able to see him many, many times and this performance is absolutely one of the best. When he goes into his guitar solos the band say he's 'going Picasso' because they can never be sure what shape it will take. Pure genius.

What a fuckin genius! His music has started by day's off for so long now I can't remember!! I fully understand his reasoning 4 wanting to b seen as a 'musician' not a 'pop' or 'rock' star, that's why he's so underrated and under promoted by record companies - he's difficult 2 categorise and refuses to b dictated 2 by such companies who would like 2 b able 2 manipulate him into a category. Good on u mate, 4 u'r stance! & personal integrity, & OH!! did I forget 2 mention u'r fuckin awesome slide guitar & brilliantly complementing voice. U can c the pleasure his band gets just by working with him, just observe their facial expressions & body language. WIICKEEED, WICKKEEEDD, WIICCKKKEEED.
