On guitar I don't mind binding on. And blockish inlays! So killer I would love a sevenstring version! Never knew first act made guitars of this quality
If first act wanted to be sucessful. Their custom shop should have had a different name. I've always associated first act with cheap Walmart guitars. I didnt even know they had a custom shop.
That’s why I was shocked when I initially learned that Matt Pike’s nine string was a First Act. I too have always associated them with cheap beginner guitars you find at Walmart or Target.
Right? Why in the world would they put First Act on a custom shop guitar. It's like when Hyundai debited the Equis. It was as nice as an S Class Mercedes but nobody wants to pay 6 figures for a Hyundai. There's a reason by Toyota = Lexus, Honda = Acura, Nissan = Infiniti, etc.
They could seriously make huge bucks nowadays just off the les paul/SG fusion kind of looks literally my favorite looking guitar ever !! Could you imagine if it could have a Gibson headstock?
Great story, thanks for sharing it. I learned about these guitars thanks to Kurt Ballou from converge. He was playing Sheena for a while. Brian Izzi from Trap Them was playing one too. I own Lola with maple neck and single humbucker. Loving it, very aggressive and cool sounding guitar!
it's weird that those same people don't capitalize on the cult status of these and make a high end brand around a variation of it, besides i think some of the cheap first act guitars have interesting designs, some investor should gather these people and create a cool brand, something between heritage and reverend
Konstantinos Ernesto Economou they are extremely rare and when they do show up are usually pretty expensive and sell fast. I’d say if you can find one, it will probably be at least $2500.
For this video I was using a BOYA BY-M1 lavalier mic and an iPhone 6s. I'm using this softbox light kit: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017D7W57S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They were, yeah. But as a marketing strategy that ran a small custom shop out of Boston with a bunch of ex Gibson builders. Built some badass guitars for a short period of time. All pretty rare at this point unfortunately.
Sanrio has a deal with Squier, oddly enough, they have a huge quality control with their brand, so their "cheapo" hello kitty and badtz maru instruments are some of the better quality Squiers out there xd
Damn...First Act had a custom shop? What's next? Rogue and Mako? Lol. Serious though..didn't know this..I seen First Acts in Wal Mart...looked NOTHING like this...played even worse
@@DoesItDoom Probably because of the name. They should have named the custom shop Class Act, so you knew these were the classy versions of their instruments. ;)
Fuck yes someone with a first act custom shop! So dope dude.
Thanks man. Killer guitars!!

Beautiful guitar. It'd be nice to hear what it sounds like.
Checkout the channel. Tons of videos playing it.

Yes. Was very odd.
@@DoesItDoom yeah they really devalued their brand and image by putting their name on junk unfortunately as they really made some cool guitars

Thanks for watching man. If you ever find one let me know 😉
Does It Doom? Certainly will ... gotta say your channel is a breath of fresh air ... don’t know where to start 👏👏👏

You should check out Seger guitars! Matt Pike sometimes plays one, and they feel fantastic.
DadMetal4Lyfe I’m familiar with them for sure. That YG Pike played a few times is cool indeed.
I have a custom shop Lola, it's super sweet.
Yeah, beautiful guitars. I’ve owned a few.
Very beautiful double cut les paul.
Thanks man. Great guitars.
@@DoesItDoom can i try 1? I will play a blues for you.
Killer Guitar Dude!
Thanks man.

Poliszynel awesome! I’ve owned a couple of these and a Delgada bass and they were all outstanding!
Beyond decent. Thanks for sharing!
Alec Sneed thanks man. Glad you liked it.
Looks like something Darth Vader would play. I like it. Thanks for the overview.
Ha! It does.
best dc shape
Have to agree!
Any way you can share the specs for that First Act Dc6? I really need one and think Im gonna have to build it. 🤘🤘🤘 please yo.
Hell yeah Witchcraft
One of my favorite bands!
Does anyone know the price were sell ot new in the past ?
Is the body dimension similar to gibson lp or yamaha sg? It look bit bigger
A bit bigger than my LP Standard for sure.

Do you know where I could find one of these at a reasonable price ?

Ok, thanks.
How wide is the body at its widest?
what camera and mics do you use?

One of the best guitars I’ve ever owned for sure.
Isnt first act that cheapo walmart brand that has hello kitty guitars?

George Allison this thing is one of my favorite guitars. The Custom Shop was run by a bunch of ex-Gibson Custom Shop guys-a shame it didn’t survive.
