This is what publishers should understand, when it comes to offline content. Once the game is dead, you are left with an empty shell of a game without it. At least Battlefront 2 is getting Instant Action. Anyway, I really hope it will get some Rogue One content down the line.

In battlefront one, you mainly had this one storm trooper or one soldier that you could customize so you could always stick to your favorite weapon and be a death trooper when you have a director krennic. In here its whatever the game desires. They haven't made a new dlc because of all those microtransactions and they would make a solo movie dlc. I like battlefront 1 more because you could actually tie around the at-at and they would fall and other cool stuff like that. When I was playing battlefront 1, you could really tell how they wanted to change it.
You see how all the rebels charged headstrong out into the open as they headed for the AT-ATs? I'm going to try that in the game and I bet I will instantly get gunned down.
pa aa for some reason this is in no map which sucks I left my 2nd period class to see this trailer and those first shots of the rebels heading in head strong got me hype for it only for it not to be in the dlc. also wish that from the point in infiltration when you are escaping from the planet that to get to the UWING you first have to be playing as jyn with the plans trying to run through all of that from one end of the map to the other

I don't know if anyone else will remember this but the old days when we all used to play Battlefront II, there was a DLC that came out on Xbox live that included two extra heroes and a few new maps. From what I remember, I think it was only $5.

Ok, so we can already see that we don't have the E-22 (shoretrooper rifle), and some other weapons I can't seem to find the technical name for, OR THAT HOVER TANK! I think...EA actually might've played this super smart. Now I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. Star Wars Battlefront, on Tuesday, is releasing this dlc alongside the X-Wing VR mission, adding new modes to the Death Star, possibly adding a new offline mode (?), patching the games many bugs including those in Skirmish. That, is a HELL OF A LOT of content to push out in a day. So, that being said, I think the Rogue One dlc will be expanded upon in January after the movie has been out a while, maybe even February. They'll add the content from the movie that we don't see because they want to tease us with just enough. After that tease and a few months, no more secrets, people have seen the movie, guess we can show th everything! See what I mean?
This is pure speculation. And I'm sure they'll add new free maps. I mean, Star Wars Battlefront 2 doesn't come out until fall next year. They'll probably still have some staff still active on Star Wars Battlefront 1. Oh, and they're adding Hero Blast too on Tuesday ;)
We need Mos eisley, Dagobah and Yavin iV for maps. Why weren't they in the game in the first place?? We need more maps for the Death Star. I mean.. it's the DEATH STAR for crying out loud. I bet it was all planned, they made Battlefront not have everything we wanted on purpose just so they can say the next battlefront game DOES have it, and of course less production costs. While keeping just enough content into the base game to get the people to buy it. Then release the pre-made DLCs/cut content to farm more money out of them, and in the end they sell the complete game (complete game = game with all dlcs) for a discounted price, only $59,99! While releasing the Battlefront 2 just a month after that so that we can all step into the train again! :D Holy shit EA's marketing is more complicated than the G-man theories.
To be fair, you can't really be mad at them for being smart...... I mean, most of us bought it (and I actually still play it because despite its flaws it is fun from time to time.)
The actual reason was that the game was rushed to match the release date of the force awakens, that's literally it... No complicated marketing involved.
People are just dissapointed that Battlefront isn't the game it could be. Of course you don't have to play it but many people want to play a proper Battlefront game.

I remember when this first came out. I was 10 and I remember coming home from school and playing online with my friends, never had an experience like this again with a game.
Star Warrior Although unlikely, it's not definitely not happening, but....I think it's quite clever what EA/Dice are doing with Star Wars Battlefront, regarding the Clone Wars (if they do it). So if they do, it would be better having the Clone Wars in its own game as there is so much stuff. This is because with the current Battlefront, there are obviously things that need to be improved and fixed for the 2nd instalment. But with that, so will Battlefront 2. Therefore, by the time the 3rd game comes out, it should be way better than the other 2, giving fans the ultimate Clone Wars experience

i liked the death star dlc, just lacked different modes, bespin was the worst for me, whole dlc felt empty and hollow, outer rim was lit but that's because extraction is by far my favourite game mode and also 4v4 HvV is great

Make the Y-Wing, B-Wing, TIE-Striker, TIE-Defender and TIE-Bomber flyable. Give us more modes on the Death Star. Give Rebels land vehicles (they have some in Rogue One trailers). Allow us to make private/public servers dedicated to one game mode. Allow us the ability to customize the gamemodes and maps like other FPS games do on PC. If not, then at least make game resets more balanced and have people switch teams based on numbers of players in each team. Give us more than just 2 star card presents to make. Then maybe we'll have a real game.
Nope. The gunner position is a powerup. The U-wing is on rails like the AT-AT. However, in the space phase, the U-wing is a fully controllable vehicle, but only with a pilot, not a gunner as well.

Ok, so we can already see that we don't have the E-22 (shoretrooper rifle), and some other weapons I can't seem to find the technical name for, OR THAT HOVER TANK! I think...EA actually might've played this super smart. Now I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. Star Wars Battlefront, on Tuesday, is releasing this dlc alongside the X-Wing VR mission, adding new modes to the Death Star, possibly adding a new offline mode (?), patching the games many bugs including those in Skirmish. That, is a HELL OF A LOT of content to push out in a day. So, that being said, I think the Rogue One dlc will be expanded upon in January after the movie has been out a while, maybe even February. They'll add the content from the movie that we don't see because they want to tease us with just enough. After that tease and a few months, no more secrets, people have seen the movie, guess we can show th everything! See what I mean?
This is pure speculation. And I'm sure they'll add new free maps. I mean, Star Wars Battlefront 2 doesn't come out until fall next year. They'll probably still have some staff still active on Star Wars Battlefront 1. Oh, and they're adding Hero Blast too on Tuesday ;)

I bet it was all planned, they made Battlefront not have everything we wanted on purpose just so they can say the next battlefront game DOES have it, and of course less production costs. While keeping just enough content into the base game to get the people to buy it. Then release the pre-made DLCs/cut content to farm more money out of them, and in the end they sell the complete game (complete game = game with all dlcs) for a discounted price, only $59,99! While releasing the Battlefront 2 just a month after that so that we can all step into the train again! :D

Star Warrior Although unlikely, it's not definitely not happening, but....I think it's quite clever what EA/Dice are doing with Star Wars Battlefront, regarding the Clone Wars (if they do it). So if they do, it would be better having the Clone Wars in its own game as there is so much stuff. This is because with the current Battlefront, there are obviously things that need to be improved and fixed for the 2nd instalment. But with that, so will Battlefront 2. Therefore, by the time the 3rd game comes out, it should be way better than the other 2, giving fans the ultimate Clone Wars experience

i liked the death star dlc, just lacked different modes, bespin was the worst for me, whole dlc felt empty and hollow, outer rim was lit but that's because extraction is by far my favourite game mode and also 4v4 HvV is great

Make the Y-Wing, B-Wing, TIE-Striker, TIE-Defender and TIE-Bomber flyable. Give us more modes on the Death Star. Give Rebels land vehicles (they have some in Rogue One trailers).
Allow us to make private/public servers dedicated to one game mode. Allow us the ability to customize the gamemodes and maps like other FPS games do on PC. If not, then at least make game resets more balanced and have people switch teams based on numbers of players in each team.
Give us more than just 2 star card presents to make.
Then maybe we'll have a real game.

Nope. The gunner position is a powerup. The U-wing is on rails like the AT-AT. However, in the space phase, the U-wing is a fully controllable vehicle, but only with a pilot, not a gunner as well.
