Episode two focused on an alternate reality where Tails wasn’t Sonic’s “friend” but rather a mascot sidekick Sega forcibly pushed on Sonic. But Tails genuinely believed he was Sonic’s best friend because that’s what everyone kept saying. And he got a more than a little jealous whenever he saw Sonic getting too close to someone else.

I think that’s what happened before Amy went through all this.
Yeah… when I heard the term “Best Friends” in a creepy way, I already know it was the imposter Tails the whole time… that plus the dead body of the real Tails.
In the games, Shadow always called him "Faker" with a rare occasion where he calls him by his name, so hearing him call Sonic just "Blue Hedgehog" is just… 😵💫😵💫😵💫 …strange…????? 😵💫😵💫😵💫

I believe in chapter 2, amy and tails will be in the "Secret history" universe where the tails came from and get amy to meet up with Secret History Sonic though they'd be as crazy as secret history tails, like it was some sort of swapped universe. however this is just a speculation, I would enjoy that outcome.
