  • For our final addition for this season of Visionary stories (more will arrive at a later date so be sure to subscribe), we introduce you to Stephanie Trethewey.
Founder and CEO of Motherland, Stephanie was originally a Tv journalist working all around the country until one day when she interviewed a farmer that she would one day then marry.
This led Stephanie to transition from life in the city and a successful career in television journalism, to embracing farm life and rural motherhood in Tasmania. This has proven to be both a brutal and beautiful journey with her struggles with postnatal depression and isolation inspiring the creation of Motherland - a national charity that fervently advocates for the mental health and well-being of rural mothers, and celebrates and connects them through platforms like the Motherland podcast and Motherland Village program.
