Not mine! They're awful! They crush packages to fit in my mailbox cuz they're too lazy to drive up the driveway. They've delivered my packages to other places. They have a long way to go before I'd ever tip them
I took a huge cookie tray from Sam's to the local police station in Asheville just to tell them thanks for doing the job they do. One of the officers asked what part of town I lived in and I told him I didn't live in town but rather the county. They were so thankful to be positively acknowledged during this time of bashing police. Small gestures can mean a lot. 😊
As a teacher that sounds awesome but if we do that please please teachers share that tip with the people who help you in the classroom who are paid way less like the paraprofessionals
This is all good theoretically but until the laws are changed for food service workers, please tip your waiters, bartenders, bellhops , front desk and everyone at the hotel ESPECIALLY IN THE CARRIBEAN. Pay teachers well and give them better pensions and retirement ages.
I homeschooled both my kids through high school. It wasn't exactly hard, but I knew how to handle each of them and get things done. I can't imagine being in a classroom with 20 kids I simply don't know and being asked to keep them from acting up while teaching them something at the same time, that's a tough job. Teachers in my area make between $22K and $61K a year. I don't think that's enough. A $5 a week tip per student would probably be a big help.
My cousin in an NYC trash collector. He gets paid very well, wonderful union, has time off every 3 months. The only man in his 20s who wasnt struggling is now living well in his early 30s. Weird conversation. Tip because we live in a tipping culture. Tell your local politicians to change the laws, start an actual movement with your platform.
As I have said before because I use to be one..tip your waitress and your bus boys. It's a hard job and they can never get enough tips scared or not!❤❤
Have y'all noticed that they have started listing the tip options on the screen in reverse? I went to get some chicken for lunch, not long ago, and I noticed that they flipped the options for tips on the screen. Conventionally, the lowest is on the left, and the highest option is on the right (i.e.: 15%, 20%, 25%), which only makes sense because here in the west we read and write and therefore list things from left to right. But now, places have started listing the tipping options the other way (i.e.: 25%, 20%, 15%). Tipping has become so commonplace in our society that we have become accustomed to just tapping the option on the left without even thinking because we have an inbuilt expectation for it to be the cheapest and businesses have noticed this and think they're sly by taking advantage of it.
I haven’t seen that, I’ll look for it. My hang up is when they program the tipping on total rather than subtotal. Meaning, the suggestion to tip on tax. I never tip the suggestion, I always enter manually.
I wish the US would do like Europe and pay their wait staff better and stop the tipping. Unless we had horrible service, we always tip 20% minimally - why not build in tips to the cost of meals? Too many don’t tip well!
When I was a kid, I would have agreed with you about teachers. They are terrible now. You're lucky if they don't screw up your kid permanently. Not all of them, but government schools are scary.
Teachers aren't all terrible. Some are good, meh, terrible, fantastic, there is quite the range. Why from your experience do you tbink they are terrible?
Hm... folks know what their wages will be before they accept jobs. Why tip at all? Why is a pilot expected to be good at her job, but not a teacher at his? Why is not everyone expected to be good at we each undertake for compensation?
Tip teachers??? They only work 180 days a tear. Workers who get a vacation (4 weeks) work 245 days a year. How about not tipping anyone Pay them minimum wage ( $15/hr not restaurateurs minimum) at the least.
I personally never really thought about teachers and how much they do until I started working in the school system as a custodian… I see teachers coming in during the summer and when school is in session a lot of the teachers easily put in 10-12 hrs a day… from what I’ve seen teachers are superheroes and I have the utmost respect for them
John you make more than every single job you named including pilots, and every one else. Why are you so worried about paying the low wage workers well???? Such a strange discussion. And worrying about where your money goes after you give it away is peak ugly. Did Jesus say to inspect the needy before helping?
First off. The prices have nothing to do with the people who are making it. They deserve the tips. Regardless of the prices. If you can't tip. Don't get the extras. It's not an extra if you don't tip. Pathetic and now unsubbed
Tipping doesn't exist in the same way as USA in lots of places its actually frowned upon (by the actual people who would receive it frowning at you for attempting it, honestly not sure why... I mean free money.)
@@paulct91- in Europe, they are well paid and tipping is almost an insult. In Paris, when away from the touristy area, they post no tipping - but the area near the Eiffel Tower knows Americans are customers and almost asks for tip outright - crazy!
I know you’re trying to be funny… buuuut… Moms. Please no eye rolls. 🫣 Or moms that care for children with special needs. I happen to be both. And although, thankfully I have and receive absolutely everything I need… many don’t. These moms are bathing their 150 lb kids all alone when the child can’t even stand, they’re changing teen girls toiletries during their cycle when they’re paralyzed, they’re cleaning & changing out tracheotomy, colostomy, g-tubes…and so much more… If you have the PLEASURE of knowing a special needs mom/caregiver… take a moment to tell them you see them. 💜🙏🏻
Trash collectors….roofers….pot hole repairmen…linemen after a storm. Thankless jobs. They need tips. ♥️
Give your Postman a nice cold drink when you can too....... they really love that. Makes their day like you won't believe.
I do the same 😊
I am a teacher. Some parents do give me gifts at the end of the year. It’s very thoughtful and makes me feel very special. ❤
I give teacher gifts 3x a year. Thank you for what you do.
Jobs where you're SURE that tipping isn't emboldening employers to pay their workers less
Tip your mailman occasionally, as they deliver all your packages and mail.
I give my mail carrier $10 for Christmas.
They can only accept gifts up to $20 - no cash, so gift cards. And only $50 total for a year from a customer.
Not mine! They're awful! They crush packages to fit in my mailbox cuz they're too lazy to drive up the driveway. They've delivered my packages to other places. They have a long way to go before I'd ever tip them
Janitors!
Lifeguards (after making a save)
School Janitors, or really any janitor.

John you have so many fans in Australia. Every gig - someone asks me if Ive seen John Crist's comedy.
Tip your mama’s. They deserve it believe me. ☺️
As a teacher that sounds awesome but if we do that please please teachers share that tip with the people who help you in the classroom who are paid way less like the paraprofessionals
I’d love to hear your take on Biden dropping out
It's good news
Just ban tipping all together 😁
Agreed 🎉

Swimming pool technicians appreciate tips! They do a lot of very hard work (some times) and don't really get paid for the labor.
Housekeeping. They clean your room, mirrors, clean sheets...on and on. Throw up...every where.

Same in central NC (minus the union)
School Crossing guards!
TIP: To Ensure Promptness.
Love you
Teachers are starting to get paid bank now. Especially for the days out of the year they work.

@daviddo658 Only tip if the service is good.

@BMXTraining That's pretty low-down, too, because you know they're expecting you not to notice.

@@TJTYMOM Because they won't have any incentive to serve well if they know they are going to get a sizeable tip either way.

Does the other guy ever talk? The one in the right
School bus drivers
I’ve been meaning to ask….what happened to the guy who Easton replaced?

I am all for the sport betting tip plan.
Ok, if President Trump makes tips tax free then this will change a ton!
Why would tipping be Tax Free?
😴😴😴😪😪
Plz pin
