In 1982 I was 18 years old and already a diehard AC/DC fan. I learned about Bon's legacy later on, but fell in love with back in black when it came out. In late 82 they came to Providence just after the Back in Black tour ended and at the beginning of the FTATR tour. To this day my favorite concert experience ever. Brian went down into the floor seats with Angus on his back. The concert kicked off with the lowering of the newly made bell (the original one that they had made for touring) - with Brian hitting the bell with a sledge hammer for the opener Hells Bells. Masterful. Brian was at peak vocals then, and angus was the rock and roll version of the road runner. I never did see them again but knew I had witnessed history in the making. Having seen footage from the 90's, 00's to now, I could not bear to see them live now. I know father time hits us all, but I wish to remember that day in 1982 as the official start of the rise of the megaband AC/DC became. I wish to preserve this memory but tip a cap to them for still giving it their all today - albeit with only 2 remaining.
Seen em for the first time in Donnington 1984 , monsters of Rock , if they would have played Manchester this year i would have gone , but seen em 4 times so I'm happy .
ACDC sound was good and loud from where i was on this side of the pitch behind the barrier outside the inner circle. It was obvious Brian wasn't going to sound like he did 15 or 20 years ago and presumably everyone new that when deciding if they wanted to go another time or not. To me it didn't matter everyone round me was having a great time jumping around and helping Brian out with a constant singalong. After 2016 i didn't think i would manage standing for an acdc gig again but glad i did, dont think i would have enjoyed it half as much in the seats. Waiting for around 2 hours in same spot beforehand i was feeling my back, hips knees etc locking up and hurting and wondered how i was going to get through the night, but as soon as we started to bounce around everything loosened up and felt fine (and 20 years younger!)
I was gutted to miss out on standing tickets but to be honest we sat in the upper tier and had a great time. Most people stood up and really got into the gig which was great. A brilliant night

@@Rysmith14 Loved it - amazing gig. We got in really early and were right by the centre circle stage - never been to a gig before where my ears were getting painful toward the end, the sound was incredible. Brian was struggling at times, but the music generally was as good as ever. The whole show though was brilliant, really well put together. I'm trawling through RUclips clips now and seeing the views from elsewhere - didn't really appreciate the magnitude from where were stood, and now seeing the views from the back, realising how lucky we were to be at the front.
