Bro said “trickeration” as if every player in the nba doesn’t use crossovers(misdirections), pump fakes, jab steps, up and unders, etc to create separation for scoring. The entire point is to be unpredictable. You can’t do a straight line drive and score a layup every play. Wtf is he talking about?

@@jomuski6591 but that’s the thing tho, you HAVE to be predictable. Not in the sense where they can stop you, but in the sense where you’re like “oh you think imma shoot, SIKE” Idk why that’s a critique honestly
I can't understand how anyone can say Steph is one dimensional. Klay maybe, because so much of his offence comes from catch and shoot plays where he comes off a screen. Steph has those plays, but he also has nasty handles, shooting off the dribble from 3, shooting off the dribble from way deeper than the 3 point line, very good finishing around the basket, floaters and some mid range game when he needs to use it, and I would say he's slightly above average for a point guard when it comes to passing and playmaking for his teammates.
It's crazy people can't accept the fact that their favorite player has been getting their ass handed to them by a 185 lb 6'3" lightskin with Under Armours. Curry really one of the 7 greatest players of all time no cap
Nigga top 7 ur stupid. 1). Michael Jordan 2). LeBron James 3). Magic Johnson 4). Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar 5). Kobe Bryant 6). Tim Duncan 7). Hakeem Olajuwon (Debatable Shaq Vs Hakeem) 8). Shaquille O’Neal 9). Wilt Chamberlain 10). Bill Russell ( Wilt also debate with Bill Russell).
my problem with calling steph "one dimensional" is that if his game is so simple... then stop it? its one dimensional. you SHOULD be able to beat it if you can diagnose it as that. the problem is you can't stop it, so if thats the case you cant dog on his game or take away points from it for being "one dimensional" when you cant stop THAT dimension.
Agreed. Stephs game is in no way actually 1 dimensional. Because if it was, he probably wouldn't be as successful as he is. Saying that is low key disrespectful to the whole league of *professional basketball players* that cannot stop him. What, is the whole league full of incompetent dumbasses that can't contain this "1 dimensional player"? Its so silly.
His entire game is 3pt shots and off ball movement not a lot of players have the engine to guard him all game that's why he's one dimensional he's not better then LeBron he's not better then Mike or Kobe he never will be he's just the best 3pt shooter of all time that's it he doesn't have exceptional defense he's not doing anything besides running around the game getting wide open shots
@@sweazytoocrazy5272 Unless being one dimensional no longer means "only good at one aspect of a thing". Being able to play off ball and with the ball is sounds like 2 to me. Not to mention his finishing at the rim is fantastic. He's an underrated passer and top tier ball handler. And he can shoot the mid range if need be. If you can't guard 34, turning 35 year old steph all game than thats a testament to steph's conditioning, he clearly works on his stamina. And as we saw in the finals, it doesn't matter if he's wide open or not, he can shoot anytime. I agree he's not kobe Jordan, etc. But calling him one dimensional like all he can do is shoot is crazy to me.
This is just so factual. So tired of these absolutely ignorant and uneducated takes on people downplaying steph. Good ti see someone actually defending him for once.
Kinda crazy how the guy in Steph that is “one dimensional” had one of the most versatile defenses running in circles to try and stop him meanwhile the guy against the same squad that’s supposedly not “one dimensional” in KD got packed in a quick 4 games.
Not only that crashing and getting easy lays over big men and phenomenal passing. Every part of his game is great which is one of the reasson why I love his game and overall career .
Except Steph had the best defensive in the league backing him while KD had the 20th ranked defense in the league without Ben Simmons backing him. Don’t get confused . Kd was the first option and outplayed Steph in all of their playoff series together
@@NothingElseMattersJM first off, having one of the best defensive to support him doesn’t make any sense when trying to claim what the players can do in the offensive side of the ball. So, it doesn’t make sense why you are bringing the nets defense as if that did anything to do with Kevin Durant getting locked up. Another point, the reason he was considered the better player in those series because everyone let him be that player. Let’s not forget when curry was out during the reg season and it was Kevin Durant leading the team they were much much worse. Kevin Durant was probably the better player, but that was only due to the greater impact steph had.
@@NothingElseMattersJM Yea he was apart of a reason why they were ranked 20th defense and y’all done slandered Ben Simmons since last season now it matters if he played or not bc KD is involved? Also it’s literally just a better system to have KD as the one option over Steph bc he’s a 7’0 wing player who does all the things that he does while Curry is a 6’3 perimeter player and is willing to defer and act as a decoy for the sake of the system.
They do it to him because they don’t like the fact that Steph and Klay didn’t come from “the struggle”. They resent the hell outta Steph. They will try to make sense and sound stupid AF bc it makes no damn sense. The man is PHENOMENAL! There is no weakness in his game. The one “weakness” was always his defense and he’s even shut ppl up with that! So consistently refusing to give him credit without any BS is just hating. It’s pure jealousy. But what I love about him is he hears all that shit but doesn’t respond to their idiot asses (except for this off season he’s being petty and I love it). But more often, He lets his play, his team (teammates), his rings and all his success speak for him and I think that pisses these idiots off even more lol.
@@dmillsburner3685 It's funny because he's always been a slight above average defender or a net positive. I looked at his defensive rating year by year compared to guys like Damian Lillard for example. But some people wanna say Dame better than Steph LMAO
Every damn year Steph goes to the Finals there is the reliable chorus chirping about injuries to players on other teams, making excuses. Then we get players like Harden failing to go to the Finals year after year, and they make excuses for him...
They don’t like Wardell because he beat the kid from Akron in 2015 And ever since that 2015 win the NBA media has went out their way to slander the guy

They are casuals with jobs talking about basketball, something they don't understand. They can see if a guy is taller or faster and it doesn't take much time to read the stat sheet and see what the points and assists and rebounds are, compared to watching games. Yeah, even Perk who played in the NBA is a casual, the man averaged .5 assists because he had no idea what was going on around him.
These are the same people who think Curry's career started in 2015. They also believe he would’ve lost both Cavs series pre-KD, needed a super team to beat Bron, couldn’t carry a team, is a system player and JUST a shooter, is not clutch, can't play defense, is a front runner and doesn’t show up in Finals. To top it all off he's now one-dimensional. Regardless of the narratives, the results don't lie 🏆🏆🏆🏆
I’m still impressed that LeBron went up 2-1 in the 2015 finals despite Kyrie and KLove being injured. But remember when Perk said Curry in the next four years wouldn’t win a title? Yeah
Let’s be honest Curry, Klay, Draymond couldn’t beat LeBron, Kyrie, Kevin Love. LeBron went up 2-1 with Deli as his starting point guard. And they lost in 2016 3-1. KD was the X factor in 2017-18. That’s why everyone hated him. Curry beat a 24 year old Jayson Tatum congratulations here’s a 🍪. That’s like putting Tim Duncan higher then Kobe just because he swept a 23 year old LeBron in the finals. Nobody cares about when Jordan swept a young Magic team after losing the year when he came back. 2022 they played against teams with injured stars just like in 2015. Cuz 2015 the league was basically on crutches and everyone was hurt. Stop acting like his chips were crazy hard. I don’t hate curry I just hate his fans. He’s like YB of the NBA. This so called Steph and Kyrie rivalry is weirdly similar to the Kobe and Tmac rivalry, where one player is heads and shoulders above the other one in every aspect of the game yet its a rivalry

What is exactly one dimension about Steph? He can shoot both off and on the dribble He can take it to the rack and finish He can hit mid range shots Like even if he was one dimensional it’s pretty dam sad people can’t beat a one dimensional player
In the words of Michael Thompson (Klay Thompson's Dad), "If you don't understand why people hate on Steph Curry, then you don't understand people. It's nothing more than old fashioned jealousy."
“Just because somebody doesn’t do it, doesn’t mean they can’t do it” That right there heavily influences propel perspectives on how they view one player to another in terms of ability n value across all team sports tbh
Spot on. Look at Westbrook. Lebron, Curry and Giannis could probably average a triple double if they had whole team built on it... and then win NOTHING.
Dawg I can’t when ppl start talking about KD saved the Warriors 😂 Like it’s a forgone conclusion that the Cavs just automatically win those next 2 titles
KD helped them win yeah. If KD didn’t show up they wouldn’t have won as easily as they did when he was there. But would they probably have still won. Yeah
@@Cam71718 😂 “Probably lose the next finals” That’s exactly what I’m talking about. There’s nothing that suggests that. Maybe they do lose. But as I said, y’all act like it’s a forgone conclusion.
I wonder…. Considering Steph is considering a “system player” cuz his success is perceived to have started with Kerr’s system, does that make Kobe and Michael Jordan system players? They had their most team success when Phil was their coach, running the triangle offense (which ironically the Warriors run very similar sets to the Triangle offense). Obviously we don’t considering them as system players but why do we call Steph a system player
Great point ... I will add to what you saying by quoting Steve Kerr and KD “Steph is the System “ without him there is no system it works because of him.
Calling one of the greatest on ball scorers and THE greatest off ball scorer & mover in league history has to be one of the strangest takes I’ve seen yet. I thought we left the “steph is just a 3 point shooter and he needs screens” takes years ago😂
Ima admit I was a curry hater in 2015 wasn’t ready to accept that his play style was the new way. But as time went on I just accepted it and I know as a former hater that he’s one of the greats and has done way more then enough to solidify him there
The video that the NBA community didn’t want but absolutely needed, Low with the words of wisdom on the disrespect for the greatest shooter of all time.
Even if he is “one-dimensional”, if he’s freaking dominating the league being this “one-dimensional” player, then that should speak even more volumes about how great he is
What's always been crazy to me is that curry is like the second best player of this era but has been consistently left out of most people's top 3 or even top 5 after 2016.
Mike James is a great example that just because you play in the NBA doesn't mean you can analyze the game properly. Only someone that doesn't understand the game thinks Steph is one dimensional. Best case scenario is that he doesn't actually watch Steph at all and just sees 3 point highlights every once in a while
lol did he forget Steph did it already with Jackson and Steve Kerr changed the offense and they won. He did it this year carried this average team on his back because klay and dray struggled this year .
Bruh, curry legit carried the warriors during the 2013 season and into the playoffs, while leading them in points and assists. He can do it, but he chooses not to because its better for his team that he plays into a system that revolves around him.
Bro, i was on Twitter having a conversation with a dude about the 92 Dream Team and he had the audacity to say guys like Chris Mullins couldn't shoot because they shot less. When I shut him down wtih stats he said "oh well i said what I have to say and I'm done with this conversation" because he couldn't combat the fact that dudes on the 92 Dream Team had similar 3pt %s on their career to some of the best 3pt shooters now. Shit was hilarious. Just because they didn't shoot a lot of 3s in the 90s doesn't mean they couldn't shoot them. They just played different lol
What I love most about the curry can’t carry an under talented team narrative is that people act like his career began in 2016 he literally took his team to the playoffs the year before his first mvp and went to the second round and lost to the spurs in 6 games 😂
Imagine calling steph one-dimensional when he's the only player in the league that can be considered as top 5 in the league on both on-ball and off-ball offense.
I believe the problem is when a player is successful without possession of some seemingly unattainable skill. The issue comes in when people fail to recognize how unattainable Steph’s style of play really is (especially for point guards). Steph is a small, not the most athletic, not the most flashy as far as hesi tween, and many people believe they can achieve what Steph can do. Steph’s skill set IS unattainable and is just as much an outlier as MJ’s skill set in the 90’s, Kobe’s difficult shot making in the 2000’s and 2010’s, Shaq’s dominating size and ferocity, Bron’s size and skill set etc. When a player has an outlandish feature to their game, it is easy to call them the best or to make the argument. When a player seems to have no outlandish features but still dominates, that is when the discredit begins. From Steph, to Jokic, to Giannis, to Duncan recently, they all get discredited because they seemingly have no otherworldly attributes to their game. Steph’s (and the others named) skills are easily replicated but he has them pitched at such a high level to where no one may ever reach the true Steph Curry style game. We must acknowledge when someone masters even the simple and uses it to dominate those in possession of outlandish skills and/or physical attributes.
Exactly. Steph's skillset as point guard and shooting guard combined is one of a kind that no other player possesses those skillsets. People are blind and only see one or the other and think his playstyle is easy. His conditioning is absurd to support this playstyle and now his improved defense as well
Been watching basketball for a long time. Steph is that guy. He's at the lunchtable with Lebron. Didn't have to ring chase either. Steph is the ring leader.
We know why this happens. A player of curry’s size and play style is never gonna get goat or best player nods. There’s nothing he can do in these peoples minds to ever be in those conversations. 2016 was the closest we’ve gotten to that
I love that you mention the idea of valuing that “I can play losing basketball” or “I can carry a team to a first round exit”. It never made sense to me
Playing losing basketball is attributed to “Carrying a team” they love losing teams it’s a reason why Westbrook got so much love and people used to call me a hater for saying that Westbrook wasn’t that good back when he was the No.1 Guy for the thunder. All Those triple doubles got that man NOWHERE to this very day.
I bet against my friend (he’s a Heat fan, Im a Celtics fan) for the conference finals, but once the finals came around, I didn’t bet against my Warriors fan friend because I knew the Warriors were better. I said Warriors in 6 from the beginning, Never doubt that trio.
Ppl comparing skill sets like there’s 2K ratings. Can’t judge players on what the can potentially do bc they’re taller and have similar skill sets…gotta factor accomplishments.
I hate how none of them just say they don't like how steph plays. They stand there like fucking windy shrugging going " I DoNt knOW iF StePH CaN dO iT"
What I love is how nobody mentions how the narrative switched from “Why is KD going there? They don’t even need him.” To saying “Steph won’t even make it out of the first round without KD. He saved Steph and the Warriors’s legacies. They’re nothing without Durant”
"I'm concerned he can't do it" - Nick Wrong Davidson... ...he did it. 2015, he did it. 2016, he got that same roster back to 4 points of a title. He carried that terrible roster in 2021 to a play in appearance (scoring champ). He had already done this enough times before this last season for this narrative to be dismantled.
Stephen Curry is the BEST player in league and has BEEN the best player in the league. Dude took a back seat and they forgot 🤡🤡🤡 they delusional not to think he was the best player remaining.
Warriors have been to 6 out for the last 8 finals. They only had lost when LeBron and Kyrie had 3 of the best games back to back to back ever played and 2019 to the biggest gamble an executive have ever made and the toll of 4 straight seasons with finals run took it's toll. The Warriors took a few seasons to get back to championship caliber team and could have made the process smoother had they taken LaMelo Ball
Let's give an example: Curry and Morant both score over 30 points however here comes Wiggins he scores 20 it cancels 20 or Morant's points because the other Warrior players are scoring by committee the Warriors win. If you're going to win a series with the Warriors, you're going have to beat them by committee.
Just goes to show how many players and even organizations don't care about winning. The fact people are honestly judging players on "aesthetics" over impact is wild.
All they needed was for Bogut to go down and Steph not to be injured. But Bogut going down means nothing if Steph's MCL didn't have him so slow he couldnt get around Kevin Love. And maybe all we needed not to believe KD saved the Warriors was for Nike not to lose Steph to Under Armor.
This was a 13min video and the sad thing is you could have pulled more clips to make this longer.. It just doesnt stop w them n their "dumb" takes when it comes to Curry. Enjoyed the video and as a Warriors fan i need more of these. Good laughs
Something said at the end of the video sticks out to me about teams and individuals. None of the last 7 mvps have won the chip. Steph should have won back in 2016 but he choked, but beside that no one else has, and none of them came all that close, i guess harden in 2018 sorta. This tells me something, the mvp is an award built for a player who plays losing basketball, i.e. ball dominant, high usage and stats and not very team centric. Like giannis won a chip, but not in either of his mvp years, and in the playoff in those years he got stopped and his team wasn't able to adjust. But getting back to the point about the mvp, Luka is the fav to win it next season, cuz people predict that he will put up great individual stats and for the reg season that's great, but especially as of recently, the mvp award is meant for someone who will do everything on the offensive end of the court mainly, but ends up playing a high level of isolation ball and has the ball in their hand 90% of the time. Thats why GSW won, cuz they acc play as a team, and something has to be said about acc performing as a team. You can't just use the excuse Steph has better teammates, cuz everyone clowns on Draymond, people were saying wiggins was a bust, poole was called the worst pick in his draft, no one took GP2, and Klay came off of 2 catastrophic injuries where he missed 2.5 years of play. We saw that the mavs were able to win a few against utah without luka, that the grizzlies had a really good record without morant. It could be because when the ball dominant star is gone, the teams play more team basketball, with more passing and ball movement. Brooklyn was an iso heavy team and couldn't do anything. I think people also have to realize that the stars of these teams, could afford to be less ball dominant. Just because the rack up 10 assists a night doesn't automatically make them a better playmaker. What they mainly do, is dribble combo, drive and kick out, for a 3 pointer, or pass for layup or dunk, where the ball is held for 15-20 sec by one dude, and the other players have to make a shot once they get the ball. Dallas hardly won when luka had 40, cuz he held the ball too much, taking shots, getting to the line, which are al great, but still too ball dominant. None of the previous great pgs averaged 30 points and 10 assisst all that often (like cp3, magic, nash, stockton, thomas), cuz setting up offense was their job and the let their teammates play with the ball as well, so getting 30 points would have taken away oppertunities from their teammates. Steph doesn't average too many assists, bacause he lets his teammates dribble and pass the ball as well, and usually sets up 4 on 3 or even 4 on 2 oppertunities that make it easy to score with his gravity and play with draymond, making him as good a playmaker as any of the top guys in the league. And since steph isn't ball dominant and willing moves without the basketball and doesn't hold it for a long time, the team plays great team basketball and is more succesful than the team with the mvp, who tends to hold the ball for almost the entire game. Like they better give me high numbers if the ball is held that much by them. A 30 pg game by steph is far more valuable than a 30 point game from a guy like luka and matches the impact or even exceeds the impact of a 40 point game from luka, because he did it, while still letting everyone on his team play with the ball and have their own turn, thus allowing them to get in rhythm, and contibute when they need to. I think these playoffs proved it, but hey could be wrong
I appreciate your elaborate response. I couldn’t agree more with every word. At the end of the day is team basketball. No one wins a chip just by themselves. They need to buy in and play for the needs of the team to win games, not for the needs to stack up numbers for the stars
Look the media saying it I don’t really care. We would all say some wild shit if we got paid like them. But Mike James. Mike fucking James who’s ass has never been a good player saying some shit like that to THE SECOND BEST PG EVER is ridiculous.
curry is top 5 just from 2015 - 2018 alone the stats he put up in that timeframe literally changed the course of the league. People just hate on him his because he dominates their teams physically and technically. When curry plays your team their gonna be taxed for the next few weeks its even shown throughout the season.
Dude was acting like Steph being a threat from three and him building off that to score is a bad thing. Lillard and Kyrie(whom he used to discredit Steph) do the same thing.
to be fair Max Kellerman made that take when Steph was going to return to the worst team in the NBA, saying it would be easier for dame was a good call
WOW! Where have you been all my life. You articulate perfectly the concept. Curry has another level. I am sure when it manifests on that basketball court, The NBA and fans will be in awe and shock.
It always baffles me when people say he’s one dimensional or just a shooter whenever I watch Steph I see crazy ass finishes passes and handles on display
Make no mistake Golden State has started an evolution on how the game is played to include how teams are put together. Golden State has the right standards in basketball which other teams tend to resent because they are just that good and they don't understand the formula in duplicating the same for their team. This team will always be at the top because they win by committee because they play within their role and outside their role.
Kyrie Irving is one of the most overrated players in the league! To pretend his ‘bag’ is bigger than steph’s just because he has some silly, dollar store moves is insane. You know what is more ‘skill-based’ shooting. Shooting is a skill that requires more time/work
I didn't expect klay to come back and be as good as he was. He was a little inconsistent but he was good enough immediately that he had the kind of gravity that made things easier for his teammates. I always told people though, the warriors were winning multiple chips with or without KD. I thought they had a chance to win another but once klay came back the way he did, I just knew they were a legit championship threat this year. That said, kyries shot isn't the defining play of that series. The defining player is the draymond kick. Heck, the play that led to that shot was more of a defining play for that game 7, "The Block". That game was over if iggy makes that, series done. But lebron made a block nobody else in the world is making and that gave kyrie the opportunity to get the ball in semi-transition and do his thing on steph one on one.
I just like to say there is some point in those finals where Curry was not making a single three but everyone of his shots at The Rim and lives were basically going in
Westbrook is my favorite player (don’t even start 😒) but Curry is HIM. Changed the game with his shot and is THE ASSHOLE when it comes to demoralizing shot-making. Builds a great culture by being a solid dude and being HIGHLY skilled, and they still try to give credit to everyone else but him for GS’s success.
it is really weird how the media wants players to prove that they can play losing basketball, then downplay players who actually has good teammates on a winning team. doesn’t make sense at all.

He's so one-dimensional, the so-called "generational defense" Celtics literally could not do anything against him for an entire series.
The fact that he can play on and off the ball gives him two dimensions off the rip😂
I don't agree with Mike, but that's just Curry's playstyle, he has to do that to create open looks.

Bruh, curry legit carried the warriors during the 2013 season and into the playoffs, while leading them in points and assists. He can do it, but he chooses not to because its better for his team that he plays into a system that revolves around him.
Also 2021
Bro, i was on Twitter having a conversation with a dude about the 92 Dream Team and he had the audacity to say guys like Chris Mullins couldn't shoot because they shot less.

I can’t believe this is only the 2nd video on the Warriors/Curry that you’ve done over the last 8 months. Need more! Great video btw
His conditioning is absurd to support this playstyle and now his improved defense as well
Steph is flashier than what people try to say
So people can’t have different opinion ? lol it’s almost like if someone don’t agree with the popular opinion people wanna act like divas

The money counter example was too funny
I love how LOW throws up literal video evidence that curry can get a bucket on his own while those casuals try to bad mouth curry.
Great stuff my guy. Loved the commentary. Gotta check these fools 🤣
That laugh sounded like a one piece villain 🤣🤣
it is really weird how the media wants players to prove that they can play losing basketball, then downplay players who actually has good teammates on a winning team. doesn’t make sense at all.
U ain’t never feeling this warrior content champ keep up the good work
That money counter segment was hella funny 😂😂
You're fantastic, keep putting out this content.
Most NBA commentators seems just like regular guys on TV.
My man you are so right on about Curry it is really laughable the HATE Curry gets.
Like I said b4, people are tired of the DUBS winning
We need more of these videos. Good stuff 👍🏾
Mfs will talk day and night about the system but then won’t admit that Curry IS THE SYSTEM
