  • Matthews, political commentator and host of MSNBC’s Hardball, uncovered new facets of JFK in his acclaimed Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero. Now he looks closely at the brilliant younger brother Jack often overshadowed. Drawing on extensive research and interviews, Matthews charts Bobby Kennedy’s evolution from a neglected son and perpetual underdog to a strong and independent political figure. Defining Kennedy as that rare combination of pragmatist and idealist, Matthews traces his subject’s political philosophy back to Bobby’s decision to enter the Navy as a common sailor rather than an officer. This put him in contact with a wide variety of people, many of whom supported his presidential ambitions in 1968.

How sad. The final prediction that the tax cuts for the rich won't pass. Alas, they did.

I'm so puzzled. Why laugh over the revelation in the recent Kennedy Papers release showing the local Dallas police allowed Ruby armed to have access to Oswald? RFK would be dismayed to hear the author shrug off the miscarriage of justice that followed his beloved brother's death. Read "The Unspeakable" by James Douglass. A stunning depiction of both JFK & RFK and why their lives matter today.
