Warning to viewers, this is a modified transformer do not attempt this with an unmodified transformer with lethal voltages that can kill you. There are some issues with this.Looks like you have used HER508 diodes, they are 5 amp diodes, not big enough for the output that is possible from this large transformer. You have obviously rewound the secondary of this transformer but you have not provided any information about that winding. It would be very dangerous if someone were to attempt this with the original high voltage winding in place. Also the 18 volt output will overcharge a battery if left on for long enough. It looks like you are charging a 25 amp hour battery with 7.5 amps, that would take about 3 hours for a full charge assuming the battery was completely dead when you started. A lead acid battery will tolerate some overcharge, however if you were to leave this on overnight you would probably damage your battery. If the battery gets hot you are over charging, and producing hydrogen and oxygen gases which are explosive. I did this many years ago with a car battery, when I touched the clamp charging the battery It caused a spark and the battery blew up in my face. There were pieces of the battery all around the garage and I was covered in battery acid. Amazingly I was not seriously hurt but I did learn a valuable lesson.
I think these transformers are about 1 volt per turn, you can check as there are two secondary winding, one very high voltage which has to be remove, the other is around 8 volts for the magnetron filament, which you can voltage check before you unwind an count the turns, this will give you the volts per turns figure.
Isn't there any danger if charger is left on for prolonged periods of time? About how long can it be had on? I understand transformer from microwave oven heats up very quickly. How can one surpass this inconvenience?
Ok el voltaje está bien para una batería de 12 voltios pero el amperaje es demacrado porque la batería se carga a la décima parte de su capacidad y 2,5voltios por elementos serían 15 voltios

As ive noticed he changed already the secondary high voltage. and very obvious showned in the multimeter a 13 volts.
you went lucky
my father didn't
he stayed blind for months
Touch those wires is dangerous

what size of the secondary winding?
I'd like to try and make one myself, but the transformer I have produces an output of 400v DC. What can I do?
REMOVE SECONDARY COIL AND WIND AROUND 50 OR 70TURNS OR REWIND UNTIL 14VOLTS AC READ

No explanation, of windings so looks dangerous.
This guy never answers any questions. Is the amp reading 101 or is it 70.7 ? Don't look much like ones do they?
There's no Auto cut off and over voltage because that's 18v to charge a 12v battery.
13V AC, when through diodes and tu will get 18v
and when there is load it will revert back to 13v dc when charging
nice sir
thanh you
This charger give only 7 amps. Not 100 amps
plise sir fishing shokar scr carcuit and carcuit daegram. i m Bangladeshi
