Please don’t stop making these videos man… they are such an amazing resource to musicians. Great teacher! Hope your reach grows and you don’t stop any time soon!
Thank you so much my friend! Comments like this absolutely make my day. ☺️ I'm so glad you enjoy the videos and I have no plan on stopping anytime soon! 😁
@@matttinklermusicHappy to encourage! I’m hardly ever compelled to comment but I’m real thankful. Very happy to hear you don’t have plans of slowing down :D
once again great stuff Matt. :) I do already use some expression control and love it but kept forgetting some details of how it works, and this helps. I struggle more to find creative use cases for some like incremental but random is pretty important to me. Anyway expanding it with the CC control is especially cool. Keep up the good work
Thank you! 😁 It's a very cool device. Check out my video on making a sequencer if you want to see a cool use case for incremental. ☺️ Thanks so much for watching!
You're welcome, thanks for watching!! By the way, I recently downloaded your MPE Envelope device, it's great. I included it in my recent newsletter. :)
Great video. I did not think you could write mod wheel automation in the Session View. I thought it had to be done in the clip view only. Is this due to using the CC Control plugin? Thanks!
Correct! The mod wheel automation is done using the CC Control device. You could just as easily modulate the mod wheel in a clip, but I find it a bit easier in arrangement view to work with automation. :)
@@matttinklermusic I am assuming this is true with the Pitch Wheel too? I also prefer to do automation in the Arrangement View and wish I had know this during my last project. I don't know about your other viewers but I would love to learn how to record automation from non Ableton Live sources, like VCV Rack, or for that matter Ableton modules. Once recorded editing would be possible. Maybe a future video! Thanks again.
You're welcome! The CC Control device is a MIDI effect that's available in Live 12. You should be able to find it under the MIDI Effects section in the browser. :)
Sweet. I'm making music for a long time, but totally new to ableton and this thing totally killed the reason to own plugins like baby audio transit... just need to get my head around using the device.
Hi brother, how to use these automation while playing live instruments, these are all the recorded midi notes. Is it possible to use these automation while playing live on stage? Please guide me, i am new to this
@@matttinklermusic thanks for the reply, no i am playing a synth in my keyboard and my left hand is busy with other keyboard playing chords. Now how can i automate synth cutoff without touching modwheels(in my keyboard ) please guide me i am new to this. How to automate it
Ah I see! I have a video that goes through everything about automation that will hopefully help you. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/kpNsYMEmq4o/видео.htmlsi=Dx_lgYTOvgsbgvL_

Awesome video thanks for posting. How can we get that CC device? Is it a max for live? I'm on the latest version.

It's such a good device! If you're keen on trying to make something like Transit, you should check out the Shaper device. :)
mate get that slide on the 303 rack 👀
Modulation everywhere!

The expression control device really is actually mainly great when performing live! It will work with any MIDI message that you send a channel.. :)

Is this in live lite
Yes it is!! That's one of the main reasons I showcased it, because it's in every edition. 😁
