    once again great stuff Matt. :) I do already use some expression control and love it but kept forgetting some details of how it works, and this helps. I struggle more to find creative use cases for some like incremental but random is pretty important to me. Anyway expanding it with the CC control is especially cool. Keep up the good work

    Great video. I did not think you could write mod wheel automation in the Session View. I thought it had to be done in the clip view only. Is this due to using the CC Control plugin? Thanks!

    • @matttinklermusic
      @matttinklermusic  2 месяца назад

      Correct! The mod wheel automation is done using the CC Control device. You could just as easily modulate the mod wheel in a clip, but I find it a bit easier in arrangement view to work with automation. :)

      @@matttinklermusic I am assuming this is true with the Pitch Wheel too? I also prefer to do automation in the Arrangement View and wish I had know this during my last project. I don't know about your other viewers but I would love to learn how to record automation from non Ableton Live sources, like VCV Rack, or for that matter Ableton modules. Once recorded editing would be possible. Maybe a future video! Thanks again.

    Awesome video thanks for posting. How can we get that CC device? Is it a max for live? I'm on the latest version.

      @matttinklermusic  2 месяца назад

      You're welcome! The CC Control device is a MIDI effect that's available in Live 12. You should be able to find it under the MIDI Effects section in the browser. :)

    Sweet. I'm making music for a long time, but totally new to ableton and this thing totally killed the reason to own plugins like baby audio transit... just need to get my head around using the device.

      The expression control device really is actually mainly great when performing live! It will work with any MIDI message that you send a channel.. :)
