Pink Ribbons, Inc. Official Trailer #1 (2012) Breast Cancer Documentary HD
Breast cancer has become the poster child of corporate cause-related marketing campaigns. Countless women and men walk, bike, climb and shop for the cure. Each year, millions of dollars are raised in the name of breast cancer, but where does this money go and what does it actually achieve? Pink Ribbons, Inc. is a feature documentary that shows how the devastating reality of breast cancer, which marketing experts have labeled a "dream cause," becomes obfuscated by a shiny, pink story of success.

I give to a lot of charities, but never to anything pink ribbon as I find little goes to research and they seem very flamboyant, commercial, and shady. When I give, I'd like to know where the money is going and the breakdown. Sure, I can't be 100% certain, but I know in my heart, I tried to do the right thing by trying my best to send my money where it's really needed: humans, animals, ethical research, and other causes.

According to Sulik's Breast Cancer Consortium organization, some $6 billion total is raised for breast cancer every year between federal funding, nonprofits, and private organizations, while only $1 billion of that is spent on breast cancer research annually.

I am a stage 3 Colon Cancer survivor. Our color is royal blue. We do not have anything to show for our color except our faces and our stories! We are united by experiences and our lives. This isn't my time to cry that we aren't noticed but to inform that we too have/had cancer too. Cancer just isn't a color for profit nor should cancer. My simple request is that everyone and I mean EVERYONE please PLEASE GET SCREENED!!💙
    Thank you!

A risky, but essential piece. Something's wrong when a "charity" sues others.

The problem is that some of the companies using the ribbon are *NOT* doing anything to prevent breast cancer, and are simply using the ribbon to encourage people to buy their products. (KFC comes to mind) The video mentioned that some of them use carcinogens known to be linked to breast cancer, so they are indeed being hypocritical. Then there's also the issue of how much they raise *actually* goes to cancer research (which isn't a lot for Komen).

If the governments of the world (through an international treaty) paid into and created one LARGE SUPER FUND and announced very significant awards for SPECIFIC achievements in the field of cancer research, it would then make more sense for research groups to actually find a real cure rather than to look for it. This way, the scientific community would be searching among all possible solutions, including those that can not be patented - as in effective prevention, natural cures, etc.

ya breast cancer is bad or women, so is any woman walking up to a person at work or school striking up conversation like their friendly but then months later turning around and biting them by yelling out in a room like party that they are so this and that in a bigoted way. so that's why I support anyone with health or emotional problems.

we have to fully support pink ribbon movement for breast cancer recognition and how to cure it especially in third world countries where it is more found and very less treated.....its a cancer and if god forbidden any suffers from it if cured in early stages its cure is possible which have to make in our women and men know through social media and running on TV program what breast cancer is, how to prevent it by doing certain tests and what a self breast exam is so at least if proven it can be cured.......

I hope you have seen the entire film by now. The documentary shows how the pink ribbon movement is fake. It is not giving charity money to research! The cancer industry is a scam by The Medical Mafia and Big Pharma.
