1. Predators wasnt directed by Robert Rodriguez but by Nimrod Antal. Robert was the producer. 2. The Rivel ghost and the Original Predator design creature are now 2 different races. The creature that was used as a design for the original predator is now the "Amengi", a species that thousands of years ago enslaved the Yautja race. Then there was a revolution on the planet and thats where the predators got their tecnology.
First, good eye, I agree on the origin, especially since you took the time for a side by side. I would assume that the Yautja is clanless, or yet to be ranked, and the bone mask and lower tech are based on entry level, maybe it was his first kill? Regardless, everything about their culture is "honor" and rank based, as in you reap what you sow. The bigger and badder you are, the better your gear. They should totally rip Mandalorian and depict a human "captive" learning the Yautja way while traveling planet to planet hunting different trophies... Like the elders on the Predators ship are watching the whole time and select Poke-youreyeout-hontas to travel the verse. I think there actually was a comic or graphic novel based on this, no?
I disagree, yautja have their own interest under that umbrella of honor. Some specialize in weapons, some specialize in minimal weaponry, some specialize in certain 'species', and all have their own hunting preferences. This predator could've enjoyed primitive-esque style hunting. It's easy to assume it was his 'first kill' or that he was still young because he got smoked by natives but I think a large part of the franchise is that they always under estimate humans and end up getting smoked.
Has anyone done or seen a video referencing the small tube like attachment on the back of Feral's biomask, that sits under his top maxilla when he recovered his mask?
