Fin mai 2013, Le Mellotron accueillait le duo Acid Arab pour un mix en direct et en vidéo. Guido Minisky et Hervé Carvalho sont venus ambiancer nos studios avec leur clubbing à l'oriental où quand la disco turque côtoie l'acid-house et autres pépites venues de Damas, Beyrouth et Istanbul.
Ils viennent tout juste de sortir leur premier EP sur le label Versatile et seront un peu partout cet été, notamment au Worldwide Festival de Gilles Peterson début juillet.

J'ai beaucoup rigolé quand même, été pas mal déçu aussi, quasiment rien d' "arab" non plus (plus de la sauce house, quelques morceaux turcs et autres), et quand le mec chante en anglais avec son accent franchouillard, c'est devenu très désagréable. Bref, des petits Blancs qui s'accaparent un nom pour amuser la galerie avec un chouia de trucs bien quand même, on va pas se mentir ;)
The acid arab fusion is nice combo between the classic and some recent instruments. The Dabka part is the greatest with Bedouin lyrics.....

Vos musiques de ce set son excellentes, je sais pas si vos set son souvent semblable à celui ci niveau musique. ?!
Je compose avec des machines et les sons comme ça sont une source d'inspiration.
