Lance made a very bad decision. He witnessed Tommy taking over the entire city and yet decided to side with a bunch of mobs from Liberty City. What was he expecting to happen? Sonny to kill Tommy and just let Lance take over all his businesses in Vice City? They were just going to treat Lance as a loose end and put some cement shoes on him.
Exactly! Lance Vance would meet the same destiny as JD O'Toole. If you are a rat, don't think that you will receive a warm welcome to the organization. Lance would be killed immediately after taking care of Tommy, that's how the crime families work. 🙂
I don't thunk he thought that far ahead. One of Lance's largest flaws is that he's impulsive. This is seen when he goes after Diaz without Tommy. He felt mistreated and so he instantly betrayed his only real friend because he couldn't accept he was a screw up. Sonny saw this and used it.

In my opinion, Lance didn’t make a very bad decision here. He always makes very bad decisions, ever since he was little, according to his brother, Vic Vance. I think the only good ideas he’s had at all were the guns he chooses to use during VCS and VC, and calling up Phill and Umberto in VCS when his brother’s businesses were being attacked. After that, he created problem after problem for both Vic and Tommy, and both of them had to clean up after him
Lance was an idiot. He always fancied himself as being smarter than he actually was. Tommy had him as second in command and he couldn't even do that properly but was complaining about pay.
See Tommy didn’t have friends whom he can trust, so he trusted Lance thinking he can be very useful. It’s understandable if you have been locked at young age and spent majority of life in prison. But Lance’s dissatisfaction towards his brother Vic took toll on him
Lance was always taken the easy way out. He expected everything to be given to him on a silver platter instead of working hard for it. Vic and Tommy had every right to yell at his behavior and reprimanded him for that. Lance couldn't build his own Empire by himself. He was an insecure man child that made too many mistakes and got himself killed at the end.

It's amazing how there are still fans who defend Lance and blame Tommy for his attitude towards him. Lance was becoming a liability due to his impulse and indolence, and he expects a "fair slice" after this? Vic was the same to Lance in VCS, yet no one has anything to say about that. Tommy had every right to call Lance out on his behavior. He even told Lance that if he screwed up, he can call him out on it. A boss would have never told his partner that. Tommy's only fatal flaw was that he was being too naive and blinded by loyalty. You'd think he would have learned his lesson after 15 years of being set up by his old boss Sonny.
Yeah, it's actually hard to defend Lance here 😅 The guy wanted everything for doing nothing. Still, Vercetti had a soft spot for him, he forgave him a lot...

Everything came around full circle for Philip Michael Thomas. He played Rico Tubbs in Miami Vice. The reason he goes to Miami is because his brother is killed by Calderón. Therefore, he goes to Miami in the pursuit of Calderón and eventually gets his man. Vice City, he voices Lance Vance, and he's there on a drug deal gone wrong. His brother is killed, and he turns up wanting revenge. His betrayal in the end is also relevant to Miami Vice as in the episode Red Tape, he gives his badge to Castillo and quits as he is framed for rape. The way he acts in this episode is very much like how, through the events of Vice City, he feels wrong done by which causes him to betray Tommy.
this us why tommy is my favorite GTA MC dude is a handson crime boss, he refuses to sit back and get his goons to do all the work for him, if shit needs to be done he'll be the first to jump in it infuriated me even as a kid, how much Lance wanted for doing nothing he literally did less then the bodyguards/guards who protect the mansion
But Tommy himself revealed to Ernest Kelly that he regrets joining the Forelli family as a teenager because he was originally meant to inherit his father's print works, given that he enjoyed working with his father when he was little!
@@madkhaliqfarhan its true he didn't chose this life But even though he never chose it, he dam well puts his all into it, he refuses to simply be lazy Lance is lazy, Sonny is lazy, Tommy EARNED his title
The earliest sign that Lance would betray Tommy is literally the Vice City Stories. Lance had a chance to reform after the whole fiasco that ruined Vic in the end, but no, he chose to stay the same to the point of getting Vic killed recklessly. Lance may think "At least with Vic dead, there won't be anymore bosses scolding me" until he met Tommy who is similar to Vic in management and leadership Due to the whole fiasco in 1984, Lance would've betrayed Vic for the Forellis, the Vice City National Guard and the Haitians had Vic survived the Viceport Ambush. Lance knows Vic never liked his attitude and that is what Lance would consider a "last straw"
Yeah, it's really depressing seeing Lance flying away from the busted drug deal while Victor Vance is laying dead... He was his brother and he left him, didn't even try to kill these hitmen for the sake of avenging his brother 🤦♂️
I think that Lance is probably the most stupid character in the whole franchise next to Maria. He only cares about money and power who’s willing to do anything to have it quickly. Tommy was never gonna betray Lance, but Lance is just opportunistic and naive. If I remember correctly he also dragged his brother into the business. His brother was first a soldier until Lance dragged him into the crime life which caused him to get dishonorably discharged from the army. And Lance is just so impulsive that I bet he would pull the trigger on someone who just say hi because he would think he was an assassin.
Definitely one of the dumbest characters in the entire franchise 👍 However, a small correction is that Victor Vance decided to do shady things for Martinez all by himself. Lance had nothing to do with it (we are talking about the first missions in the game when he is still a soldier). Besides this, everything on point 🙂
There was hints in the beginning of the game...for example....when Tommy and Lance goes to starfish Island in a helicopter....lance is just flying while Tommy is doing all the shooting and even gets dropped off to finish killing the rest....also in the boat mission...tommy is the only one killing while lance is just drivingthe boat....meaning lance doesn't really care about tommy...he just wanted to use tommy
Basically lance thought he could come up like tommy by helping out, but tommy did all the heavy lifting and took initiative, while lance just wanted things to fall in his lap.
that is true, Lance thought he could use Tommy, but things didn't go as he planned. As for Tommy, he did all the work, got his revenge, took over Vice City and he surpassed Sonny. Tommy wanted was loyalty, but Lance got lazy, jealous, and greedy.
He did the flying on that mission. How much more can he help? On the boat mission, he was shooting at the thugs while tommy did the driving, and they swapped places after taking the package with him driving, and can't do more. You are stupid.
Haha yeah, it's totally not about getting Sonny and Tommy. It was actually about the members of the Vercetti gang because Tommy knew the war was going to start.
Lance was already a conniving sniveling weasel in Vice City Stories. He caused a lot of problems and his brother Vic had to clean them up. Tommy would have to clean up more of Lance's mess in Vice City.
I think the straw that broke the camel back was the bank heist. Tommy didn't involve Lance in the heist at all, which seemed reasonable as Lance could spill the beans with his loud mouth somehow and ruin the scheme, but when Lance knew Tommy, KP, Phil and Cam all got their cut he was furious. It was likely when he started digging into Tommy's connections in Liberty City and subsequently attempted to contact Sonny.
Lance Dance Vance reminds me of another character from gta. To be exact gta: online. There's a secretary who works with our online character in the CEO Office and "helps" with the details but is ALWAYS trying to get our character killed. There's lots of evidence that supports this theory and to blow your minds. It's Vance's kid (daughter if you go for female secretary) (son, if you go for male secretary) You're welcome everyone Blue's Clues solved
To chalk up lance behavior he was having cocaine withdrawals peep how he kept asking for a "fair" slice the money he was getting couldn't pay off what he owed😂😂😂😂
with Victor being dead, there would be no one to control Lance Lance also has remnants of the Vance crime family, so why didn't he grow in power like Tommy did
That's a very good question! Here's what we would say, probably Lance wouldn't make his own empire because of his personality and the fact that Vance Cartel was moved to Panama. It was actually really stupid of the Vance brothers to come back to Vice City alone, without any support.
@GAMING INVESTIGATORS - HUBSON good point, the gang is either no more ore some of higher-ups led the Gang in Panama the fact is still victor should've stayed in Panama and let one his gang accompany Lance to the deal and he knows he can't trust Diaz unlike Lance who ignorant

I want a video on what Tommy did while he was in prison for 15 years. He was too smart and good for the business. Did he meet some top mafia cats who taught him the tricks of the trade? Where did he get his brains/chutzpah?
I have no idea how Tommy didn’t realize Lance was a traitor. Even at 10 when I first played i felt after Bar Brawl it was looking like he was going to turn on Tommy later
Ernest is right about tommy and lance I don't think Ernest trust lance from the start and I think Ernest see that Tommy was being back stabbed by lance but there's nothing Ernest can do about it.
My theory is Lance was on Sonnys side the entire time, one red flag being he knew Tommys name in the mission where he kills the chef before even intrucing each other!
If anything, Sonny and Lance used Tommy for their own gains. Rosenberg was genuinely cared by Tommy, in fact, Rosenberg blew his chance by not kicking his drug addiction.
So i think Tommy learned a tough lesson from these betrayal and he tossed ken out as soon as he became useless and sent him to las vantura where he met CJ.

@@madkhaliqfarhan True but at least Lance would've ended up learning an even harsher lesson about backstabbing your friends. I mean seriously what was he actually expecting to get from sonny?
I recently played through the whole game, after hearing so much about it. I love all the GTA Games, but Vice City had a horrible, horrible story. The way the plot unfolded was very convoluted and the whole thing ended off on an overrated note. Story wise of course, gameplay is still fun and great to explore. I genuinely can't understand how you made such a video about this from what little information the game gives you.
Each to his own I guess, but you do have a point 🙂 While we did enjoy the very first part of the storyline where we are focused on getting the money and drugs back, and finding the culprit of the failed drug deal, afterward it doesn't seem like a well-written story anymore. Sure, we've got many assets to buy which is cool in terms of introducing the player to this new feature, but story-wise it's bad. As for the comment you made, sometimes it's quite hard to draw conclusions from this little amount of information, but when we know that we can expand it in a justified way, that's what happens. 😃
It's an obvious red flag when Lance already knows what Tommy name is at the very beginning

Only if Vic Was Still Alive, he wouldn't betray tommy, because vic would stop Lance of doing such an idiotic act against Tommy
This really depends on the personal traits of Victor Vance from 1986. After two years, his thinking could have changed dramatically :/
yeah because vic is iance and pete's big older brother.
this us why tommy is my favorite GTA MC
dude is a handson crime boss, he refuses to sit back and get his goons to do all the work for him, if shit needs to be done he'll be the first to jump in
it infuriated me even as a kid, how much Lance wanted for doing nothing he literally did less then the bodyguards/guards who protect the mansion
But Tommy himself revealed to Ernest Kelly that he regrets joining the Forelli family as a teenager because he was originally meant to inherit his father's print works, given that he enjoyed working with his father when he was little!
@@madkhaliqfarhan its true he didn't chose this life
But even though he never chose it, he dam well puts his all into it, he refuses to simply be lazy
Lance is lazy, Sonny is lazy, Tommy EARNED his title
@@lordfury18 Mad respect to Tommy Vercetti!
The earliest sign that Lance would betray Tommy is literally the Vice City Stories. Lance had a chance to reform after the whole fiasco that ruined Vic in the end, but no, he chose to stay the same to the point of getting Vic killed recklessly. Lance may think "At least with Vic dead, there won't be anymore bosses scolding me" until he met Tommy who is similar to Vic in management and leadership
Due to the whole fiasco in 1984, Lance would've betrayed Vic for the Forellis, the Vice City National Guard and the Haitians had Vic survived the Viceport Ambush.
Pretty sure it was Jerry Martinez who got Vic dishonourably discharged from the Military.
Martinez made a criminal out of Vic, Lance made a drug dealer out of him
Definitely one of the dumbest characters in the entire franchise 👍 However, a small correction is that Victor Vance decided to do shady things for Martinez all by himself. Lance had nothing to do with it (we are talking about the first missions in the game when he is still a soldier). Besides this, everything on point 🙂
Lance was like that in VCS as well. Partly because of him, Victor Vance got into some more troubles too.
He only wanted revenge for his brother, then got jealous of Tommy's rise
@@joshingram071 he just wanted to use tommy....there are like 4 major missions where tommy does more life risking tasks
I always thought Lance "getting the guys together", was about Sonny, his guys, and Tommy/Ken. Wow, I was way off!
When he got Vic Vance killed.
Damn ty for making this vid
You're welcome! More episodes coming soon 🤘
Lance was a recovering powder head
I think the straw that broke the camel back was the bank heist. Tommy didn't involve Lance in the heist at all, which seemed reasonable as Lance could spill the beans with his loud mouth somehow and ruin the scheme, but when Lance knew Tommy, KP, Phil and Cam all got their cut he was furious. It was likely when he started digging into Tommy's connections in Liberty City and subsequently attempted to contact Sonny.
Another amazing video
Thanks, bro! 😎
Lance Dance Vance reminds me of another character from gta. To be exact gta: online.
There's a secretary who works with our online character in the CEO Office and "helps" with the details but is ALWAYS trying to get our character killed.
There's lots of evidence that supports this theory and to blow your minds.
It's Vance's kid (daughter if you go for female secretary) (son, if you go for male secretary)
You're welcome everyone
Blue's Clues solved
Why Would it be his son,When Lance Vance Dance Never had a Wife?
@@ShuyGuy397 No wife, but I am sure as hell that he did have a shit ton of mistresses.
@@jorgebersabe293 Oh Yeah Right
To chalk up lance behavior he was having cocaine withdrawals peep how he kept asking for a "fair" slice the money he was getting couldn't pay off what he owed😂😂😂😂
1:46 You can also see its Vance in the helicopter
with Victor being dead, there would be no one to control Lance
Lance also has remnants of the Vance crime family, so why didn't he grow in power like Tommy did
That's a very good question! Here's what we would say, probably Lance wouldn't make his own empire because of his personality and the fact that Vance Cartel was moved to Panama. It was actually really stupid of the Vance brothers to come back to Vice City alone, without any support.
@GAMING INVESTIGATORS - HUBSON
good point, the gang is either no more ore some of higher-ups led the Gang in Panama the fact is still victor should've stayed in Panama and let one his gang accompany Lance to the deal and he knows he can't trust Diaz unlike Lance who ignorant
@@gaminginvestigators still wondering why Vic didn’t stay in Panama, unless Lance set up the ambush to pay off Diaz and convinced Vic that he had to be there to accept the Italian’s money
Yea I pretty much seen it coming when I was younger
Forget about it Mario
Tommy was always fair and loyal, people like lance cant See someone flyin higher than them
Exactly! Tommy was actually really merciful despite the many occasions of beef between him and Vance. The guy should have been thankful to him...
Playboy X & Dwayne is like a different version of Lance and Vic
My theory is Lance was on Sonnys side the entire time, one red flag being he knew Tommys name in the mission where he kills the chef before even intrucing each other!
This guy sounds like Genos from one punch man
I actually didn’t know lance called off Tommy’s security to defend the mansion in the final mission, this all makes sense now 👍🏼
First time I played it 20 years ago, wasn't surprised at all about Lance. I was way more holy shit about Ryder and Big Smoke.
Tommy used Sonny, Lance, Kent and Rosenberg for his own gains.
If anything, Sonny and Lance used Tommy for their own gains. Rosenberg was genuinely cared by Tommy, in fact, Rosenberg blew his chance by not kicking his drug addiction.
Why the narrator change his voice?
Who's a bigger pain in the ass; Lance or Sweet?
Lance
Sweet
There both pains in asses. I do have more respect for sweet through.
That's a difficult question, but we are gonna pick Sweet since, man... was he so frickin' irritating throughout the whole game.
still Brucie
Do one on Gta 3 Donald Loves disappearance
This episode is already on the channel, dude 😃
So i think Tommy learned a tough lesson from these betrayal and he tossed ken out as soon as he became useless and sent him to las vantura where he met CJ.
i still do think lance couldve made some sort of an advantage in “The Job” mission a better one
Lance just never accepted he losse all his empire after death of victor Vance
They shouldn't have left Vice City for Panama and Mexico then 😃
Emotionally Unstable or High on Cocaine? Hm🤔
I hope u guys to make some GTA 4 lore videos
We will definitely get into making GTA 4 lore videos 😉 However, we can't really say when since we have some topics and work to do already 😅
@@gaminginvestigators Yes please do GTA 4, TLAD and TBOGT lores. You mostly do 3D era but please do HD era too, GTA 4 and the 2 DLCs are great successors of the 3D games. All GTAs are amazing.
@@gaminginvestigators Would love a lore on Gay Tony and his nightclub business someday.
Vice City Stories made me fully realize how awful Lance can be. Poor Vic.
I didn’t trust lance by to the end of the game proved me right
According to VERA VICE, Lance decided to betray Tommy because he wanted Mercedes to become his girlfriend but she prefers Tommy over him! That's when Lance decided to reveal the secret to Sonny through a phone call!
You know that vera vice's vídeos are mods and fanfic right?
Vic Vance is Luis dad ??
Different universe
Of course Lance turned on Tommy, he's black!
Vice city stories only made me hate Lance more, ha
Stop lying I ain't dead
Glad you are dead for all the probs you caused to Vic and Tommy, for you Vic got into Forbes and Mendez situations and his only true love Louis died cause you kept messing up,
Tommy saved your life from Diaz's men, he worked hard to build empire buying assets and all while you were lazy and you betray him
Tommy saved Lance
because lance is a drug dealer.
Part of me would've loved to see lance actually kill tommy and get killed by sonny in return.
Yeah, the idea of giving more than one ending would be actually pretty cool! 🙂
This would be the bad ending, man...
@@madkhaliqfarhan
True but at least Lance would've ended up learning an even harsher lesson about backstabbing your friends. I mean seriously what was he actually expecting to get from sonny?
@@christopherbaltodano6584 Perhaps Lance wants Sonny to give him the chair?
Sonny is a power hungry person. If he grabbed it, he would just sit by himself and won't give to Lance@@madkhaliqfarhan
Tommy got betrayed but he didnt have to betray his real and only friend Ken Rosenberg in 92
He never betrayed Ken. He just cut ties with him.
Tommy sent Ken to Fort Carson for his own good, because Ken's drug addiction would always put the Vercetti empire in danger!
