    I just found this video and couldn’t click on it fast enough! Of course I have a weird addiction to water soluble media. I don’t do adult coloring. I mostly use them for art journals. I have WAY too many, but surprisingly you and I have a completely different collection except for the Caran D’ache. Maybe we chose differently because I am a paper crafter. But I quickly binge watched what you have posted so far. It was awesome! Can’t wait to see the rest! I posted a comparison a few months back...sadly very few people watched it, but you may enjoy it if you have time to take a look. I can’t wait to see more from you. Thanks😊

      Could be because you do paper crafting, yes. There are soooo many supplies in card making and paper crafts that really don't cross over into the adult coloring world (until someone makes them haha).

      Ah yes I can do that. Though really, not many will dissolve on that paper. But we can see

    Not only have I been loving this series, but I LOVE love love the background music you use 💞💞 One of my favorite coloring book flip through channels uses this background music too and it's just so soothing and ethereal 💞 love! Thank you for these awesome videos! Much love as always 💞

    Wow I want- thankyou, you do a great job of testing them!! I’m a massive fan of their stuff that’s been around for years( like 24 coloured pencils). And I’m still searching for something I can use for magenta and violet with the otherwise amazing 9 Stabilo “All” chinagraphs. Neocolours were too waxy to work over with my ink and stuff. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it 🤣

    Great review! Thanks! I haven't bought any water soluble crayons yet. I'm waiting to see what brand is the best price and best results in adult coloring books. The other category for me will be best artist quality and best price. I enjoy coloring books but also want to create art pieces. So I don't need lightfast quality for the coloring books or for experimenting. If that means more sets of crayons? (sighhh) So be it! 😂

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic

      Lol you can buy one that works well for both but that one will cost more... 😕

    thanks so much for testing if we can't! They look a bit thin/soft like the ones you get in art kits, which is fine but I try to see these videos as can I justify the price for the quanity of what you get (i.e crayons/pencils) or the quality of product

    Since they work best off the palette this may be an affordable watercolor paint. There is a lot of product for a pretty decent price. I bet you could sharpen them and put the shavings in a tin.

    Has anyone tried using an alcohol marker colorless blender to activate these or other watercolor crayons? I use my prismacolor alcohol blender with my Derwent inktense pencils and it works fabulously - was wondering if I could do the same with the water color crayons before I make the jump and buy some crayons (not Crayola - but some other brand)

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic
      @ColorfullyOptimistic  Год назад +1

      So I use the colorless blenders for Inktense and watercolor pencils, but for these crayons, yes, I have tried it, and it tends to crumble and build up rather than smooth out. These actually need some water applied to them. That said, the Neocolor 2 are about the only ones that sort of respond to the Tombow (water-based) blender, but even then, they don't do great and you'll blow through blenders and not have pretty results.
