Personal aesthetic preferences are so diverse. For me - this knife in the green stonewashed version is beautiful. That smooth action THWACK! is incredible. The Thumbstuds are both visually appealing (eyes!) and so nice to deploy with that G10 purchase. Thanks for reviewing it! The Petrified Fish 939 is also a wonderful look and action.
The lines of this knife kinda give me some Benchmade Mini Freek vibes. Just a tiny bit. I think its the dimensional line/shape milled in the handle.
Civivi Brazen is 49.30$, and I'd argue civivi has more consistent quality control. But, I completely agree with you still lol. They are getting way too up there in the prices compared to newer names like Petrified Fish. The Victor with that blue micarta is insanely cool for the price
Even cheaper with the 10 percent discount at WMK I think (at least that's what I paid 45$) and with 14c28n steel, which I prefer to k110.

Totally agree it's so different it becomes tactical goodness attractive. 15% off 5 day sale couldn't decide on the green or brown BC the black is sold out everywhere... grabbed a blk one in stock @WMK let me tell you this is a solid piece (heavier than you think). 3.25" blade perfect, smoove action, solid lockup, amazing ergos & very sharp factory edge , clip is tight but works ok, micarta feels great and add the super flush micarta backspacer... G-10 (?) thumb ramps breezy reverse flicks.
SO impressed with PF got more coming...
Recently picked up the Beluga and the mini Beluga. I think you are right that they may be the best bang for buck. Maybe the budget Twosuns still match these for value.
I like that they use Bohler K110 instead of regular D2. Sounds like the Chinese companies are upping their game thanks largely to you, but I still don’t 💯 trust it.

Good little folder! I'd be inclined to buff the screws down to steel. Black coatings look like sh*t after a while, especially clips and liners. ✌
The micarta on the Victor and Havrog look (I haven't had it in hand) much nicer than that on the Beluga (which is plasticky and smooth).

edit: and Sanrenmu/SRM of course. where they all are made...
I haven't tried any of their knives but they look like a good budget option. This one isn't for me but I have seen some others that peaked my interest.
Not bad id probably darken the Micarta I'd also prefer a stonewashed blade.
Just ordered this knife has anybody fitted different thumb studs ? Just wondering if there is any marks under the original ones as I am planning on changing them out.

Hello LTK. Is there any benefit you think to buying the PF in stonewashed black blades given K110 is not stainless? Does the black stonewash act like a coat on the blade? When I look at them they don't look like a coating. Wondering why PF doesn't move to 14C28N.
Good question. I’m thinking that the black stonewash isn’t really going to give much corrosion protection. I agree that they should do more in 14C.

Wish they'd transition into using 14c28n as they did with their mini-belugas (don't like the mini size, but the blade steel is great budget steel). I'm guessing K110 is about as easy (difficult) to heat treat as D2 is and so cutting performance will be affected (Gerald--outpost76--did not get any better results with k110 than the rest of the D2s).
Does anybody know the size of the stop pin on the havrog?

Havahua, havapoo, my girl knows all the names , she breeds them little fekkers and I ll say the small females are cute as f . I make fun of all my guy neighbors with their little dogs but I love em .
