It’s surprising to me that for some, even mentioning Salah next to Henry is considered ridiculous. Yes, I rate Henry higher but Salah’s fitness, consistency and relentless nature makes it a poor man’s Messi vs Ronaldo debate imo. Henry, Shearer, Rooney, Salah in that order for all-time PL forwards. Definitely the best PL player in the last decade. And trust me, I’m no Liverpool fan 😂
As a LFC fan myself - Salah can break the PL goalscoring records but he will never surpass Thierry Henry Thierry Henry IMO is the best player to ever play in the Premier League. If you want to see a Thierry Henry masterclass - watch the 4-2 game where he destroyed Carragher & Co Salah will have better stats but as a PL great, he sits at the table. EOTD it is all about preference, If you are a LFC fan over the age of 30 and you know ball - you know Henry is the better player.

Salah never gets injured and always score or assist every 3 days for 8 years!His assists and passes are just as good as his finishing. Henry is nowhere near salah even if you look at tactics. Henry was only a pace and dribbling merchant like mbappe who looks good but is useless in important matches but Salah plays the game pure tactically doesn't need to use energy much and be the most efficient player. Even without ball he tracks back and create space for teammates as well. Salah has most g/a against big 6 and most ucl g/a of any premier league player...henry played more ucl matches and still can't beat salah 😂. Even drogba was a better player than statpadder henry. Even if we're respectful and just look at stats objectively Salah is ahead there as well. Salah has 336 goals/assists in 7.5 seasons. Henry had 324 goals/assists in 8 seasons for arsenal (ignoring his 2nd spell loan season to make this comparison more fair) That really sums up how salah is in the conversation of new goat debate. Some henry fans here were commenting that salah can't be compared to henry because of "eye test". what on earth is this subjective eye test? Can we say neymar, hazard is better than henry? If everything goes right....by the end of this season salah will have 2 pl titles (same as henry), 3 pfa player of the year (same as henry), 3 fwa footballer of the year (same as henry), 4 golden boot (same as henry)! So by the end of 8 seasons salah and henry will have the same no. of pl titles and awards! The only thing differentiating them is goals/assists and salah have them more. So logically speaking, salah will be the new goat after this season if salah ends up with the same no. of titles and awards. Salah is also better in big matches as he has the 2nd most g/a against big 6 teams and he won a ucl too (and could've won another if he wasn't injured by ramos) whereas henry's ucl stats are horrible by his standard.

All due respect this is ridiculous. Salah isnt even in the top 5 PL players ever, Infact hes not even the best player of the last 10 years. Infact hes arguably not even Liverpools best player. Hows Salah above the likes of Rooney, Keane, Henry? Salah is incredible, an all timer, i'd have him in that RW spot in an all time 11, but hes not even above KDB let alone all the dons above him aha
