Thank you so much for making this video. Just got my table and just wanted to make sure how to open it safely without damaging it. The table is going to be perfect.
So, not the only person wondering if I used force could I damage the table! lol. Surely it would be simpler to print some instructions than to film, edit, post instructions! But thanks, thought I’d have to return to Bunnings (80km round trip) just to ask ‘how to open it’.
We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
Wow... that you so much. I had one open but couldn't close it. Thanks to your video... mission was accomplished and the table is stored. Again, thanks for taking the time to put up this video.
My table has the automatic lock and manual unlock with the strap handle and plastic clasp outside by the handle. My B I L forced it closed without releasing the catch and it broke. Is there a repair kit available? It can still be used, since it will stay put once it is opened and stood up.

Is it possible to open the table up to half size so one side has the legs out but the other side is supported by the other half of the table still folded down?
Thank goodness for this video. I was at a total loss. OBTW, the directions are in the bottom side of the table once you get it open. Way to go Walmart 🤔😕
Due to the tolerances in table production, some tables seem to have a more pronounced peak than others. With time and use, this peak should level out. If you have any further questions, we would be happy to help. You can reach out to us at youtube@lifetime.com.
Good lord. My dad is an engineer and we couldn't even figure out how to close it. There is a sticker on the table with how to open it on the INSIDE which is pointless!

Mine is the non-automatic version with the (single) orange plastic lock: I was concerned like others' comments, that there are no instructions, and unless you use quite a bit of force it will not open. I got brave and pulled hard and it snapped open like in the video, but I must have pulled too hard, as the black plastic leg retainer piece fell off the underside white plastic surface, but it was easy to see how it fitted back, so no harm done. My main concern was that there was only one orange lock, and I thought this a fault, but the retailer said that was correct - strange, I would have thought a lock on both sides of the centre hinge would be better than one, and, in fact if you look at the photos of the other versions of this table, you can see the identical (empty) mounting holes on the metal frame opposite the orange lock. One accurate picture in the (non existant) instruction manual would have saved me a few hours puzzling, then worrying, then contacting retailer, then getting a vague reply on the lines that it only needs one orange lock, and thats that. Grrr.

When the table is new, the clips holding the legs to the table are tight. Just pull hard and it will open. Don't worry about hurting the table, they are tighter when they are new but loosen up over time.
We're not quite sure what you mean. Due to the design, the tables may have a slight, small gap in the middle once they are open, but they shouldn't have a huge opening.
Please make sure that the ring is moved of the hinge. If you still struggle after the please give a call in customer service to see if we can make this right for you. We can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).

I don't get this video. Absolute crap. Didn't even bother explaining how to collapse the legs. For the micro-second he does explain, I don't have that type of legs.
This video is just how to open and close the table. Check out this link for a video to see how to set up and take down the table- ruclips.net/video/WYVROn2AUEQ/видео.html.
@@LifetimeProductsAssembly First, thanks for replying. But the legs are part of said table. When I Googled 'how to assemble Lifetime table' this video came up. This video should have been it: instruct me 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 how to fully unfold, upright your table, followed by how to deconstruct it. I checked your other video. It only talks about one type of your tables but not the type of legs I have. C'mon! You have one video that explains how to unfold the top of 3 types of table but then have yet another video that just explains the legs but only shows for one model. How in the world does this makes any sense?? Whoever thought of the production of these useless videos should be fired and these videos taken down and reproduced. And as someone else suggested, why not just include the instructions on the table itself. The current giant sticker that is slapped on a new table serves no purpose. It could have contained the instructions
My "Lifetime" table 4" x about 23 1/2" w with foldable legs that I can set in the lowest position of about 21" ht.Placing the opened table, table side down on the floor shows there's an orange plastic lock gizmo is at the fold space (on the side) which I don't think is automatic. I have no idea how to lock it into place, other than push this orange gizmo until I hear a click. Apparently, it locks but has slight leeway to it. It is not rigid. Is this correct?
If your table has a switch and doesn't automatically lock, check out 0:44 of this video. John shows you how to lock the table and even explains that it is normal for the table to have a little bit of movement. If you have any other questions, reach out to our customer service experts. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).
Can't believe i had to find a youtube video to open this table. Could there not be directions on the outside of it?
Don't feel lonely lol
Truth...
Don't feel bad lol
Yup me too
You're not alone on that one
Thank you so much for making this video. Just got my table and just wanted to make sure how to open it safely without damaging it. The table is going to be perfect.

Thanks John. I've opened my fold in half table with your guidance👍.
I will return when I want to watch how to fold and store it. 😊
Thank you for the video. I was having trouble opening the table and was worried I'd break it. But a bit of extra force and it popped right open.
Thanks! This table is the perfect one to use for a puzzle but I couldn’t quite figure out how to open it without being afraid of breaking it 😊
Thanks for the video. I've had the table for a week and couldn't open it.
Thanks for this helpful video. Going to pick this up tonight but I knew I would have trouble opening it!

I can't believe these instructions don't come with the table.
Much obliged to ya!
The fact that I had to come to RUclips to open a table is crazy
Tks! Couldn't figure it out
How do,you extend the adjustable legs?
How to avoid play in the table while in use? I use mine for DJing and surely cannot have any wobbling. Thanks.

I thought I was gonna break my table. Realized I had no release and ripped my table open. Ha ha ha. It's crazy I had to go to a video for a table
Is it normal for the table top to not be flat? The table is locked, but there is a lot of give in the middle.

Good lord. My dad is an engineer and we couldn't even figure out how to close it. There is a sticker on the table with how to open it on the INSIDE which is pointless!
Nice
Never seen so many opportunities to actually show the table standing missed
I can't close it back
needing to make push button leg extension easier! need 2 people!
Dude. I still can’t open this idiotic thing.
I cannot open my table-it's too difficult for me. Hurts my shoulders trying to pull it apart.
I think I need a crowbar!!!
Give it a pull open it maybe tight then lift legs.theres a little round hook on open side move it over then pull apart.
The instructions should come with the table,
How do I fold the table when the locking mechanism tab broke off? A blue tab broke off and now I can't fold the legs on the table to collapse it!!

How you pull the legs out?
The legs are being held together with a clip. Just pull the legs hard and they will unfold. Don’t worry about hurting the table
No! How tf do I put the legs down!?!!!

Why does the one table have a huge opening when it’s “fully open”
We're not quite sure what you mean. Due to the design, the tables may have a slight, small gap in the middle once they are open, but they shouldn't have a huge opening.
Yeah great got a 4 foot one of yours here that doesn't look like any of these.. Print the instructions on the sticker turkey company.
What model do you have? That information can be found on a green sticker on the inside of the table.
Availability in Delhi and dehradun
It sounds stupid, but I cant get the legs to fold down on mine

Did not explain how to unlock a table that uses force to lock the legs.
