I was there working for trademygun. From the vendor side of things, we were blown away. The staff always made sure we had a trash bag or if we needed anything and when it rained, they came by and squeegeed off the turf for us and put back the tots we had. And usually we here people complain about the event at nxls. We heard none of it from the players at this event
That's amazing. That really says alot about Chris and the other organizers.
My first time going paintballing was like two months ago now it is addictive matt just makes everything more fun I'm not scared to get hit by the paint anymore

I played bunkerfest 2005 and it was a fantastic tournament then. They did a North Texas vs South Texas exhibition game that was a lot of fun to watch. Glad to see it's still going strong, and glad to see you enjoyed it!
The history is intresting! I had no clue it was an event before 2021. This is the first year it has a full series instead of a 1 off event since Chris started it back up in 2021.
@@MattTheGymRat I walked away from the sport in 2006 until recently so I am definitely missing most of the history myself. Logo looks the same. I want to say it had 100+ teams, but it was a standard 5 man tournament back then on the old 100 point scoring system

We actually piggyback the stream and going to do the whole series. Both the main field and young guns. Bunkerfest is an awesome time and an amazing event to play. So glad you enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it man. The field is definitely nicer than any in the carolinas. Besides that it was the biggest regional tournament I had been to. Competition was solid too!

Didn’t know paintball was still a thing. I played in the late 90s but all the fields I’ve ever played at are gone.
It's 10 times bigger than it was in the 90s. And everything g has changed and improved so much. It's still just as fun too

They have 4 events each year and this was just the first. Im looking forward to making some more trips out there.
This layout was hard for everyone to get out wide. A lot of waiting and just hoping someone got bored and tried to make a move.
Yeah I was not a fan of it but it was very rewarding once you were able to get out wide.

Hey do you know what would be a good gun for a begginner? Im looking for something reliable with good firerate and range. I have in mind a mini gs with a 48/4500 psi tank. I also saw that the emek 100 seemed good but it had a shorter barrel, what are your thoughts? Which one should i get or is there a better one than those 2 for beginners
if you are looking for something reliable for a good price get a etha 3 mini gs are good too if you are worried abt barrel length you can always get a different barrel
I always recomend the Etha 3. I used one a few weeks ago so I will drop a video on it in about a month.
What gun are you using for this tournament, because your showing how it's done!

It's a good mask. It breathes great and is light weight. Issues I had were the screws rusted out and the lenses had fogging issues in the winter.

It’s a love hate relationship with wet and dry fields
I think WCPPL is the best to do it and bunkerfest just took ideas from them but wcppl has a higher division
Bunkerfest had a premiere division just like WC. If you listen to Chris's interview he said he took what he liked from all the tournaments he's been to. Also I wouldn't judge the tournament before you play it

You shoot the top of your bunker to make the opponent shoot high because he thinks you are standing up and then you come out low.
Did you stop using the CRBN Zero Pro mask? Looked like you used the proflex this whole video.

Yeah. The mask fell apart on me so I have been borrowing these.
@@MattTheGymRat Thats too bad. I love the mask (how it looks and breathes), but I am only occasionally a weekend warrior with the occasional speedball and a lot of woodsball/mag-fed. I was worried about how soft the mask itself felt.

Fun to watch. But paintballing as a kid when you could shoot 1/3rd as many balls reasonably. And only had a sleeve for backup max will always have this spam style of play beat

This was my first like big event (I’ve only played in the usxbl series) but it was a blast well managed and very attentive staff they definitely did a great job nxl eh not so much lone star had a better layout but the experience was just kinda meh but we came home with some hardware from nxl so can’t complain
