I love the interactions between Tommy and Technoblade because Technoblade has already taken over a world and Tommy tries to threaten and boss Techno around and he's just like "sure man". He deals with Tommy the way an Old God deals with a new God: an overwhelming amount of patience and the ability to crush him instantly.

Ninja8flash short answer: I’m thinking this over
Long answer: i theorise it boils down to what techno values more: absolute chaos or a challenge. Note: A lot of examples i have thought of to use for arguments for both sides have variables that make it difficult to make a good comparison
Tommy:
"I joined pogtopia because I thought it was tommy and wilbur against the entire server....at this rate the final battles gonna be a 1 v 30 against jschatt, the man doesn't even have armour!" This shows techno does care about a challenge. However, an argument can be made that this also argues for the lack of chaos and how peaceful and easy it is seeming to be to overthrow the government.
Battle of the lake: this shows that dream and techno have the capability to kill the entire server. Joining Wilbur likely will not result in much of a challenge.
Wilbur:
Techno’s an anarchist. Wilbur’s side is essentially destroying the government and being a terrorist. Plus, blowing stuff up = content and clout and lines up with what techno’s brand is.
Tommy’s side includes a lot of roleplaying and talking, something techno is not big into. An argument could be made that the amount of roleplaying doesn’t affect te3chno and therefore wont affect his decision though

And him joining Wilbur was for the challenge of them against the server (which never happened) apart from the one time at the battle of the lake
