This is a complete copy of the IS-3 with MZ, but differs only in its unique appearance. For the first time, this tank could be obtained at auction in August 2022.
What can you say when looking at the IS-3A Sapsan characteristics? In almost all respects, this car is very similar to its brother, the classic pumped-up IS-3. So maybe we get the same magnificent and beloved tank, only premium, with the ability to take out mountains of credits from each battle?
Now, that's it. Yes, the safety margin, maximum speed, hull armor, damage, armor penetration and even visibility of these vehicles are almost the same, in some places a little more, in others less. However, in fact, the IS-3A Sapsan WoT moves more slowly due to the strong difference in engine power, and the turret does not rotate as quickly. This may seem like a small thing to some, but it leaves its mark on the game; this tank noticeably loses in maneuverability.
The hull is identical, but the turret is different. She is a little taller, which makes it more difficult for the enemy to hit the roof, and there are no turrets, so it will be easier for her to tank.
In the case of the IS-3A Sapsan, the gun deserves special attention. We have the typical one-time damage for Soviet heavy tanks, standard aiming time, and a very good penetration rate with a basic shell and a very good penetration rate with a premium one.
But regarding the spread, everything is very bad here, the gun is frankly oblique. Perhaps at short distances this will not be very noticeable, however, when shooting at least 150 meters, this indicator makes itself felt.
Special attention should be paid to the new mechanics that were added with update 1.3. A reverse loading mechanism with a cassette for three shells, thanks to which the tank can fire 3 shells in a short period of time with a total average damage of 1170 units, which is very good. The first shell in the cassette is loaded the fastest, and each reload looks like this: 11.7 / 14.7 / 17.6 seconds.
I would also like to note that the tank has 28 rounds of ammunition, which is a fairly small amount with the new mechanics.
Advantages and disadvantages of IS-3A Sapsan
Let's sum up the first result, since the IS-3A Sapsan performance characteristics are left behind. All the strengths and weaknesses of this tank are obvious.
Pros:
•High one-time damage;
•Reverse loading mechanism for 3 projectiles;
•Excellent armor penetration rate with a basic projectile;
•Good armor of the hull and turret with advantageous bevels allows you to catch many non-penetration and ricochets;
•Good safety margin.
Minuses:
•Oblique weapon with huge dispersion;
•Low specific engine power, and, accordingly, mobility;
•Poor visibility;
•Total 3 crew members;
•High cost in the premium store;
•Not comfortable UVN (-5);
•Insufficient number of shells in BC.
Tactics for playing the IS-3A Sapsan
As for behavior in battle, the tactics on the IS-3A Sapsan are no different from playing on our upgraded analogue, only with a tweak to the reverse loading mechanism. First of all, we are a breakthrough tank, and although the speed of movement and maneuverability of this vehicle are lower, no one took away the good armor and formidable cannon.
Regarding the latter, it is best for us to get closer to the enemy so as not to pay so much attention to the terrible spread. Otherwise, we try to competently tank with our corps, becoming a diamond and hiding vulnerable spots behind terrain and other obstacles. Don’t forget about the artillery and the enemies who stand on a hill; we have only 20 millimeters of armor in the roof of the tower, but otherwise it holds up well.
The tank is worth taking only if you don’t have an IS-3 with MZ.

Выбил седня из коробок сапсана команды нету и с какова танка пересаживать незнаю всево 3 члена команды че новую команду качать для нево вот выбил ягтигра пр так я на нево команду с яги посадил без переобучения а на сапсана ково сажать может кто подскажет

О чудо, единственный танк, куда Петрович турбину не поставил.
Для корыто турбач не нужен, быстрее продырявят. Стоять только в одном месте в углу(как на видео) и ждать когда тебя приедут и добьют.

Вошпе,имея кировца и сапсан отдаю предпочтение первому. Танк 2ой линии,сломя голову,на позицию бежать не надо.первый приехал и в ангар отъехал). Надо где-то между, как-то сбоку, дал осмотрелся, ещё дал. Короче с толпой,но не во главе. На том же кировце и ромба давануть и мордой покрутить.
Танк не плохой,когда понимаешь что с ним делать.
В нынешнем рандоме ни на одном танке сломя голову не надо рвать, тт не успевают занимать позиции, ст и лт пусть летят
