Good video, you can run the remote wire to the fuse panel and connect it to any fuse that is controlled by the car being turned on, like tapping into the radio fuse or anything that gets turned off when the car is turned off. Easy peasy.
Hi sorry for the question I'm trying to install mine I prefer to ask before making mistakes if I understand correctly I have to connect the 12v to the direct electricity and the rem of the converter to the fuse box of the radio therefore the rem cable of the subwoofer must also be connected to the fuse box together with the converter to turn the active subwoofer on and off when the car is turned on? thanks in advance for your time
You run a small guage wire from the fuse panel, buy an "add a fuse" to do this, they're on 5 to 10 bucks. Run the wire to the Amp and connect to the "remote" terminal on the Amp. You want to select a fuse in the fuse panel that is turned on and off with your car key, typically tap into the "radio" fuse. This way when you turn the car on, you get power to the Amp and when you turn the car off, the Amp turns off so it's not constantly on which could cause it to overheat.

Easy and to the point explanation coming from someone who's been doing car audio for years. For those who don't know, most amps nowadays bring a bass boost knob, and if that's the case, you wouldn't even need to install the one with this kit. Good job bro 👍
Wow what do you want them to do give them a cookie He’s just saying like hey good job man or would you like them to say man fantastic job awesome superb I mean come on now
Hey bro, I've been sitting here for awhile now watching videos on how to install this line out put box and I came across your video when I was about to say F this !! Your video has been the most effective video for me.... Very informative, to the point, and clear enough for me to understand! Thank you this is the first time I've ever liked, subscribed, followed and even commented on any video I've watched o. RUclips!! Again thank you ..... Respect
Bro I’ve never hooked up any subs or an amp in my life and so I started freaking out cause my radio doesn’t have a rca and I bought the adapter and couldn’t figure it out. This vid don’t have no bs just straight to the point. I appreciate the vid bro
Thanks for sharing the video. Your video helped me and my 16 year install his new sub and amp. I was uneasy about removing the panels to get to the radio and then I saw your video showing an alternative way. Worked perfectly.
I bought one of these for my 2011 Ford Escape XLS, because I wanted to keep it original looking, and Sync. My radio also looks really good with the lights on at night. Ford factory radios in general sound amazing as it is, I really didn’t see the point in buying a new radio. This thing saved me $150+! I also recommend turning the bass all the way down on the radio, as the door speakers distort at higher volumes on stock settings. It’ll make your sub sound better too! It’s funny that my factory radio puts out more watts than what the factory speakers can handle 😂😂😂
Great video man, straight to the point and kept it simple. Also appreciate the fact that he showed everything on video. Other videos try to explain this but just talk for 15 minutes
I've never had a car with a system in it, it's always been SUV's, and I've run several wires and LOC's through the front to the back of the vehicles. I now have my gmas old buick and this install will be MUCH easier than the SUVs! Thanks much S.!!
Hey bro you got your amp power cable backwards, you need to put the fuse near the battery not the amp. Look it probably won’t matter but that’s how it’s suppose to be. The fuse always goes near the battery. Here’s why if it does fail the length of the wire before the fuse will still be hot, it’s it’s shorting out on that side the fuse won’t do its job. You only want a short maybe foot of infused wire right near the battery. The turn on wire needs to go to something that only turns on when the key is switched on, then the amp will only be on when the ignition is on.
CigarSmoker Yes you are correct my friend the normal spot for the fuse is by the battery but in our case is (either or) we are not running a heavy system where things are going to overheat and cause damage, that’s the reason we wanted ours like this, and the turn on wire you are talking about that I can run it to something where the ignition is on or off it will turn on and turn off the amp, I am aware of that I have videos on how to do that to here on RUclips where I do this to, but I am not really a fan of running wires to relays or fuses , that’s the reason I am saying that the only downfall with this product your amp lights will stay on but if the light is small it will not kill your battery and you are more than welcome to install a switch to turn on and turn off your Amp That section were this illuminates me running wires to fuses or relays .
It does matter you always put your fuse as close as you can to the battery no matter how much power the system is going to have. Furthermore the ground he used is not any good at all there was paint on that metal that should of been removed but that’s not it you should be using a ground that’s directly connected to the frame better as well grounding is very important! And a simple switch is easy to install for the remote if nothing since any battery drain over laziness is just ignorant.
Kadeem McClendon yep and really the whole car would burn or could because it could start fire anywhere in between it could be over quick you might not survive if driving fire and increase oxygen from driving is like fuel on a fire.
This vid is PERFECT for a project I'm working on with my car right now (I played around with speakers back in the early 90's, I never messed with LOCs before, excellent crash course, fam! Thank you!
Daaaaaam like 30m or less shit finally a good video thnkz bro straight forward and shows you step by step any one can run a Hott wire but it's tricky wen tapping into speaker straight every other video made it sound hard too doo this dude did in a timely manner 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
you're a good teacher. i've always used after market radios but i have a beautiful new car that i don't want to alter.. so this is my option. appreciate it. simple! i can't believe i don't even have to pull the radio out at all. i was worried about scuffing it up. this is great.. a million thanks!
Wylie Brooke Wrong!!!! Yellow cable should not be on al the time, you have to find a source of power that turns on when you turn the car key to accessories that way the blue will come on only when the the yellow gets power!!!
Yes! Thank you, this is the video I needed, everybody else keeps skipping over some of these steps, assuming you already know, so thank you soooo much!
One problem I heard...most people don't want an extra toggle to turn on and off.. you can use a fuse with constant power and connect into amp power cord..just make sure to have a fuse for yellow wire to converter.
Had a buddy do this year's ago for me didnt get to watch him do it to learn and now I can do it myself after watching your video.Thank you for teaching me something new today bro
My dude, where’d you get that power and ground from. That’s the thinnest shit I’ve ever seen. Job well done but please don’t let ppl use those thin wires. That could cause a fire.
That's the correct way. Honestly that's the whole point in the remote wire, using it like this defeats the whole purpose of a on/off wire because it has constant power. You never want constant power going to anything in your car. Other than that this is a good to the point video.
Only one thing i like to add is, He said, downside is that it will keep the amp on i did some research and was about to install switch to turn amp off but you dont need one. Did everything as you said but my amp won't switch on? Kinda late but do you need actual rc wires or can you use just old DVD player wires that are red and white?
I've got a question? I have New Mercedes-Benz and Don't wanna touch the the radio, Navi, lol on any other car I wouldn't care and have. But this car already has the Bsst 14 speaker Burmester Sound System, doesn't get much better. My worry is I've never tried one of these cheap boxes to tap into my my rear deck speakers, I mean how does one of these compare to using A nice Deck with RCa PREOUTS?
5 minute video, precise instructions, perfectly told and easy to understand. Can't get any better than that. Great video

Bra I said the same shit
I know. They talk about nonsense for 10 to 15 minutes and haven't even covered the topic.

Facts, I spent hours tryna find my wire diagram then I see this video. Thanks man fr 🙏🏽
I agree, the best explanation simple and to the point. Great job. Hermano.

Great video.I tapped my accessory socket for the remote connection. It seems to power off when key is off and on when key is on.
That's the correct way. Honestly that's the whole point in the remote wire, using it like this defeats the whole purpose of a on/off wire because it has constant power. You never want constant power going to anything in your car. Other than that this is a good to the point video.
I just want to send you the extra 100 bell caps i have for the wiring lol. But thanks. I just picked one up myself. Easy to understand
nismoskyline04 👍 very easy to install
Thank God for this man I'm 17 I didn't know shiii about how to hook up a amp
Jordan Prado not to hard

Did this and it worked perfect went and got all new stuff , work great for a day then cant seem to get the subs to hit at all
Yo this is the best video ever it tuck me no time to got it installed and put in 💯
Slick Ace12 Appreciate the feedback💯💪
Hands down best video
If you connect you remote to your rear running lights you can control your amp with your light switch just an idea that way its not on all the time
How???
For the ground on the L.O.C do I need to ground that anywhere or since I have one on the amp do I not need to?
I did what you said and it works. The thing is, is that I'm not impressed with the subs. They're not that loud and I feel like they should be
Harry Ocon maybe you need a better amp????
I got a boss 1100
Harry You can mess with amp knobs to make it sound better, or on your stereo unit as well you can mess with the settings for the sound quality
Okay, thank you
Just hooked my subs up in like 20 min using this video , great video
👍💪🤝
Quick question so I installed a sub in a 08 accord and the sub just spazzes out while driving or parked. What could be the issues ?
I got the same issue
Are your speakers powered by a stock amp? Like BOSE or something?
Hey man I have a question how do you install the switch you were talking about thank you in advance
Keep em coming my man u got the skills 😉 keep up the good work 💪
a big thank you i understood for my installation
How does the music play if it's not connected to the HU. I only se the RCA running to amp an converter.
Great video! I am no longer afraid to do this myself! Thanks!
Kevin Baker wow 👍
You could also tap into the fuse box through a 12v acc. for the remote wire.
Do I have to add a circuit to the fuse box or will doing the remote wire this way work fine?
It will still stay on using the converter box...any other time that always works
Your video is the BEST. All clear Thanku
Rajinder sidhu thanks
What if you have one factory speaker in the back can you still hook up to 10 inch subwoofers
Great video. I am going to do this. Thanks 👍

Only one thing i like to add is,
He said, downside is that it will keep the amp on i did some research and was about to install switch to turn amp off but you dont need one. Because this device scosche LOC turns your amp off after your vehicle is off. Sometimes your amp turns off after a delay.
Rest is good stuff.
So or does turn off? Eventually?
Best video out of everyone else thank you.

Plain and simple, good looks 💯
