i have a ton of respect for kaplan ,he has the best job and most fun of any job . love him and at the end of every brodcast says God bless America .we need more like him and love him for it . we need people like him in office . I am a z1 guy have 2, a 74 and 75 ive owned since late 76 it is my shrink when i need to be grounded . thank you Kaplan for all you do your enthusasem i need from time to time . thank you from the bottom of my heart Mr. Larry 😂Barrett🎉
The 76 had a beautiful pin stripe in the white, I bought one new, my first bike 42 years ago. One time I got caught in a rain storm and the road turned to gumbo mud and locked my front tire in that close fitting front fender. Those injector systems were rock solid reliable, I have a 78 KD100 M with points Ignition and oil injected for a camp trail bike, amazingly capable and fuel efficient. It's rotary valve two stroke gives far more torque than I thought a small two stoke capable of.
I restored one of these beauties a while back and a gentleman from France purchased it. It now resides in a collection in Paris. Hated to see it go. 🇺🇸🏁
That is a 1975....I still have mine I bought new as a 2 year holdover back in 77. They are awesome bikes...great torque and tractor-like power. The 1976 models had a slightly different paint scheme. They had stripes on the white stripe going over the tank and into the side covers. Also , those handlebars are not the stock ones. The originals had no center brace going across them.
At one time in the 70s I bought and rode a bultaco sherpa t 350 brand new, and my trials riding partner had this kawasaki 250 a2. Let me be the first to say that this little bike "will" climb a tree.

Awesome video of that old bike. Can you keep putting up videos of the bikes running and riding in the future? Look forward to seeing more!
