I have ferrets since over a decade and I stepped 2 times on them ... gladly never with any injuries ..but nevertheless it's a REALLY big problem ..even if you look all the time ...
This might seem crazy but my ferret escaped last year and I was so sad but at the end of the day one of our neighbors said there was a ferret walking down the street playing with their dog and went to to get us and we found her. She was lost for about 7 hours and most of our small town canceled there plans to look for he and 5 weeks after we found her she got a ferret friend. Btw my ferret that's got lost is named lulu and her friend is bambi the have tones of fin and love to cuddle. Also I love ed tour video
It is a little intimidating, but as long as your careful and pay close attention you do great. Also you may wanna start with one or two ferrets so you can get used to having them and reduce anxiety
@@TheModernFerret Honestly, it sounds harder. I have a cat and a dog, and generally they don't seem to pose much of a danger to themselves. My dog doesn't seem too interested in things that could be harmful to her, at least since she's been an adult, and although my cat can get everywhere and I often can't find her, again she never seems to pose a danger to herself. My house is a mess, but my pets never seem to end up hurting themselves. My cat walking along the crazy-thin window bottoms (not even really ledges) of second floor windows has definitely scared me, but honestly her balance is so good I don't think she ever would fall. All in all, ferret proofing, at least for my house, seems like a nightmare in a way I've never really had to worry about with my cat or dog.
2 years ago one of my ferrets escaped. People helped me find her through Facebook and she needed up in a shelter over half an hour away. A neighbor had found her and was kind enough to take her into his house and save her. he took her to a ferret shelter and I found her through them. They are free roam and still don't not know how she got out. I was so lucky she came back home.

Oh you nailed it with this video! We have flipped the box spring, we have lined the bottom of the couch with wooden boards, we have had to move the retainer away from the nightstand. The Modern Ferret my husband used a nail gun and fastened planks all along the bottom. It was a pain for sure and sometimes they still find ways to squeeze through, but trying to keep them out in other ways didn’t work so boards it is! And we love our couch so we needed a solution that would stick. The boards have gone through several iterations but we have had this particular set up for a while now so it’s working well enough
Having a ferret really changes your habits to the extreme. I've developed many extra cautious behaviors over the years that are just necessary to keep my ferrets safe, and I'm sure these habits will be there to stay long after I no longer have ferrets. Lord knows when that will be, hopefully not anytime soon.
aghhh 😭😭😭 our house seemed SO ready for ferrets, very available, very meat loving and almost always have raw meat available.. extremely docile cats, a whole potential extra room where we could put the night time cage and supplies in, very clean house, we have baby gates already, and SO much more including the fact im obsessed with them and both of my parents think theyre adorable then i realized we have a whole reclinable couch thats very expensive and my mom goes crazy about... man
My latest apartment doesn't have doors for the bedrooms. So what I did was order a baby gate that swings open (yes it had 2-3 inch gaps. But I bought the plastic material used for office desk chairs at a fabric store, used a hole puncher to make holes, and zip tied it to the gate. I also left my self a enough extra plastic to round my edges so I could use command strips to hold it down. I ended up doing two different styles (one on each side). I did the sticker on one side (so it was on the plastic and wall itself to hold it down). Then I I got the mini hooks and made holes with my hole puncher and made it so they held onto the hook so I didn't have to worry about it moving. It has worked very well for me! Otherwise, I have learned to become more of a minimalist when it comes to leaving stuff in my room for my pets. Otherwise stuff is moved or higher up and out of their reach.
I so need to know where you got those tubes that you have on your wall. I will be moving into a new house and would love to set some of these up in my new office
I had a deaf ferret get into a brand new sofa couch I bought. She got her head stuck and I couldn’t get her out. Poor thing. I ended up calling the fire department after hours of trying to get her out, while keeping the couch intact. The fire department hacked the couch into bits with an axe in minutes while saving my ferret from suffocation. 😂😅 bye bye couch. I learned how important ferret proofing was after that!
I want to get a ferret, but I'll have to talk the landlord into letting me get one. Has anyone ever moved with their ferrets? Does their odor stay around? And if it does how can you get rid of it before moving? I think that will be the hardest part to have an answer for.

You can also take the legs off your furniture and sit them on a 2x4 frame if you prefer them elevated off the floor. It helps prolong the life of your furniture too. Helped me save a couch lol.
A great benefit of me getting a ferret soon is that I have a massive clean up under all of my furniture since I had heard of them getting blockages from swallowing loose small bits of plastic and things. Can't wait for them to make a new mess to clean! I have been watching your videos and googling things to keep mine safe and happy. My dad has ferrets and one or both of them recently had babies. Once they are fully ready to leave their mother(s) I'm getting one who I called Sherlock because he was looking all around and tried to crawl in my shoe when I first met him outside of his cage! It's gonna be tough training him up but your videos will help and seeing how happy your ferrets are to play and cuddle has been a great inspiration!
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I'll have to do some more research on closets before I recommend anything too specific. For us, the risk is not noticing a ferret sneaking into a closet and accidentally locking them in!
One thing to add, just like you said, ferret will climb stuff but are not agile. My ferrets love to climb in my bed and it is safer to give them a easy and safe way up and down, than to try to stop them. A cat tree or stairs will do the trick.
i work at a pet store where one of our two ferrets got adopted by itself. the one who was left behind is very lonely. ive been researching and saving up to take him home and hopefully rescue another ferret to be his companion, given he doesnt get adopted by then! these videos are such a great help!
One of members of our business went into my wallet and took a hundred dollar bill. I looked at all their favorite areas only to see one sleeping next to the money. My kids were like they are starting their own business of selling toys!
I just realized i probably have the most ferret proof room in our houss lol I have a wood bed frame and wood under my bed so he can't chew my mattress, I have literally no space underneath my door, my dresser doors are always closed, I hang up all my purses and back packs, my windows are very high up and out of reach and I dont have any dangerously scented things in my room because I used to own a conure and I neved got rid of the habit of getting ready in the bathroom instead of my room, I have had plenty of walking practice do to a little pig we raised that chases our feet. I am bringing my ferret home today after lots of research, hope for fhe best!
Doing research on different pets I can have that would suit small apartments. My last pet was free roam rabbits and I had to rabbit proof the place such as protect computer cables, books on the bookshelf, wooden legs of the furniture as rabbits love to chew. I know ferrets are carnivores, but have you had issues with them cable chewing and such? Cheers, loving learning about such cute critters from your channel.

hm, i adopted 2 ferrets and i don't have any other pet besides them 2 but if you do get a ferret you should let it explore the house whenever your dog is asleep or taking a walk. If you let it go around the house even ocasionally it could be alright to let it be in your room for majority but just make sure to make your bedroom ferret proof. They are totally worth the care and attention daily because they bring so much joy to your life.
i think you can keep it in your room most of them time, but take it out on a walk or explore other spots in the house. so having it mainly in your room is okay but you should take it out of your room sometimes

Hello, I live in France with my two dogs who have had a difficult past, they were able to grow up with my old ferret who lived completely free at home. At home my ferret played and slept with the dogs (in winter she liked to sleep between my legs). She accompanied us on our outings, she was always in my hood or on my knees (I'm in a manual wheelchair), as soon as I put her on the ground, the dogs automatically watched over her. I spend my days taking care of my animals, unfortunately for the moment I live in an apartment, so we go out most of the day (with their difficult past, I do everything for their well-being). The day I have a piece of land or at least a garden, I will build a secure enclosure for my ferrets so that they are safe there and cannot run away. Before the construction of the enclosure, I will dig a false pit between 50cm and 1m deep (between 20 and 40 inches deep), to the dimensions of the future enclosure. On the sides I would build low walls and I would pour a small concrete slab pierced with small copper tubes to evacuate rainwater, the slab will rest on a bed of gravel for drainage. I would fill the tank thus created with the extracted earth, they could dig but not escape and I would build the enclosure on the low walls. Then I could finally tackle the development of the enclosure to recreate a natural environment for them. There will be small shrubs and Aromatic plants which will be intended to scare away parasites such as fleas, ticks and worms (mugwort, tansy, Garlic, lavender, peppermint, Rosemary, basil, Indian lemongrass), their smells will be enough to keep the parasites far enough away from the enclosure, moreover by rubbing there the ferrets will have a light pleasant and natural perfume. I will sink a small basin into the ground to make them a basin in which they can cool off and play, possibly with a piece of pond tarpaulin and a solar pump, I could even make them a small stream with a small waterfall. With straight branches 1-2 inches wide I would make a small log cabin for them and a small play area with macrame netting I would custom make, the play area will be on sand to cushion falls . I could then create a tunnel for them so that they could go from the house to their enclosure and back to the house. Yes, it will represent a budget but I could plan it in advance. Yes, it will be work, but I like manual labor, working the land, taking care of my animals and doing everything for their good. Anyway I don't have a job so I take the opportunity to do what I love. As I like manual work, I take the opportunity to do things for my dogs. I collect wooden pallets that I dismantle to make furniture, for my dogs I made a basket (90×120cm / 35.5×47inches) on which I put a baby mattress (60×120cm / 24×47inches) that I found. I plan to improve the basket by building storage lockers (sheets, mattress pads, plaids, towels and toys) that I would put under their basket, on the basket I would make a mezzanine (60×120cm / 24×47inches) to put a second mattress for that they have more space, on the side of the first basket there will remain a free space (30×120cm 11.5×47inches), I would make stairs there to help them go up and down, under each step I would make drawers to store their papers , sweets and saddlery. In macramé, I made collars, harnesses and leashes for my dogs. I see that you are lucky to have an exterior, you could do the same for your ferrets, they will be happy to be able to spend time in a corner of nature. You are lucky to have a man in your life, together you can do more than me alone. To prevent your ferrets from digging into your potted plants, you can put large stones in them that they won't be able to lift, which you can bring back from your outings in nature and at the edge of the water. I had a third dog, who had the most difficult past, she also grew up with my old ferret, alas she left us eight months ago, we had become really close. The youngest dog I had was weaned off alcohol by a father who sold her to me to buy his cam when she was only six weeks old. The other two were beaten and then abandoned the first was only five months old, and the third was only six months old, she was completely panicked and starved. Seeing everything I do for them, my dogs like to thank me by towing my wheelchair, so I bought them sport harnesses. With me they found a good Human Company that they don't want to lose, so they watch over me a lot and they saved me three aggressions by repelling the aggressors (welcome to the modern world). Now I am looking for a Nordic-type puppy (Husky, Samoyed or Malamute), to go mushing and experience many adventures in nature. While offering them a good life, I could create many memories with photo books for my old age.

I highly recommend not allowing your ferret (or any other pet) under your bed at all. You can either block it off or put the bed directly down on the floor. I haven't heard specifically of ferrets being crushed, but small dogs and cats have been injured or even killed when a bed slipped out of the frame and fell on them.
i think you should get them in the cage if you're getting out as long as it is not a long trip because if you let them free roam while gone even short period of time they may cause disasters and if you get them in the cage for too long they may get agressive
I got one 2 days ago and im training it to not bite so hard and ITS WORKING i put it in a timeout box (dark n boring) for 2 minutes when he bites way too hard but i still encourage the playful biting.
I need some advice. All of my living room furniture are recliners. They don't have legs I can take off. They have these solid metal bases they sit on. My ferret can access them from the backs and sides. She was ok with them for a while. She just hid under them but lately she's been digging everywhere a lot. The foam is high up inside. The only foam accessible to her is in the underside of the seats, but that's what she's digging at. I have no idea how to block it off and I can't get new furniture. My furniture is 20 years old but I don't want it destroyed any more than it already is. I'm really more concerned with her eating the foam. I've been using positive re-renforcement to call her out from under it. I have a squeeky she comes to most of the time and she gets a treat. This works ok sometimes but there are times she won't listen and she's very determined. My last ferret was never a problem with the furniture (plus it was different furniture). I've secured everything else, this is the one thing I don't know how to fix. I've thought of trying to put something around the underside edge of the furniture (a couch, a loveseat & a chair) but I'm not sure what I could use or how to attach it. If anyone wants a visual reference, my furniture looks similar to Berkline southgate couch on Raymour and Flannigan's website. Thanks!!

having had 3 of the little thieves myself, I can tell you there is no ferret "proofing" only "resistant"....love the little critters. (Sweezel, Domino and Slinky were their names BTW)
I think it depends on if you can remain calm when you pick up your bitey ferret. If you are scared and grab them quick and jerky, I'd recommend gloves, so you can remain calm and slow.

@@myaca9387 I have checked the laws for owning pet ferrets in Oregon and you can pretty much own any animal you want in Oregon without a permit, I could have a sloth, or even a zebra if I wanted without a permit, it’s kind of wierd
Hey love, what would you recommend for ferret-proofing a couch from the top? We have couches with attached cushions... But deep in the corners are holes to the inside of the couch and my girl loves to weasel into there and then pop out but dodge back in before I can grab her to (carefully) pull her out. I'm not a great sewer... And the ferrets like to bite and pull at duct tape... If I stuff the holes with towels, they'd just bite and dig at the stuffing til they could get in... Suggestions?
I would just make sure that you are with your ferret whenever there on the couch and make sure they don't even get near the corners, preventing them from dashing into them or getting into them. if that makes sense lol
I would recommend any holes to proof them. I know that seems like something reasonable but me being forgetful I’m gonna have to remember the holes in the carpet my previous hamster made to get into the walls to cover them for when I get ferrets.
They're GREAT at keeping the cobwebs and dustbunnies cleared out from under your furniture -- of course, they may replace them with your socks, other laundry, wallet, remote,...
If you have a bedroom garbage can put it somewhere high! Same with in your bathroom or just close the door. My ferrets love trashing my stuff and it's so useful to put stuff like that up high cause then they can't trash it
A good tip about plants: If you have a plant that hangs low and you still cant seem to get it out of your ferret's reach, spray it with lemon or PREFERABLY vinegar. They will stay away and definitely not try taking a bite. This a good and harmless way for both your ferret and plant. Feel free to even spray the soil. (be careful if your plant does not too too well with more acidic soil)
What do you use for Cord control? Our ferret cage/room is in my home office. (I work from home). They have the entire room to explore but being an office we have cord, power, internet, ect. I have the open ports plugged with baby safe plugs, and I have the wires as covered and the main areas blocked with heavy mesh netting to keep them out, but there are still wires open. Do you use the Pet bad taste spray/gel? Just don’t want them chewing while I am away.
Hi I need more advice of couch proofing. We have had to throw away multiple couches now because our ferrets climb inside, tear them to shreds, and even poop inside the couches. We always remove the feet and put the couch directly on the floor. However they are able to climb into the couches from the top under the cushions. I can’t find a single couch they cannot climb inside and it’s become extremely frustrating. Thank you.

i’ve had my little guy for a year now and all i can say is he keeps me on my feet and keeps my room clean

You can also take the legs off your furniture and sit them on a 2x4 frame if you prefer them elevated off the floor. It helps prolong the life of your furniture too. Helped me save a couch lol.

A great benefit of me getting a ferret soon is that I have a massive clean up under all of my furniture since I had heard of them getting blockages from swallowing loose small bits of plastic and things. Can't wait for them to make a new mess to clean! I have been watching your videos and googling things to keep mine safe and happy. My dad has ferrets and one or both of them recently had babies. Once they are fully ready to leave their mother(s) I'm getting one who I called Sherlock because he was looking all around and tried to crawl in my shoe when I first met him outside of his cage! It's gonna be tough training him up but your videos will help and seeing how happy your ferrets are to play and cuddle has been a great inspiration!

I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I'll have to do some more research on closets before I recommend anything too specific. For us, the risk is not noticing a ferret sneaking into a closet and accidentally locking them in!
Mine just wiggles in and back out, under the door. Usually try to leave in open so she can get in and out easily
I have a reclining couch like those chairs at fancy movie theaters and my ferret LOVES it in there and I hate it so much when she goes inside
One thing to add, just like you said, ferret will climb stuff but are not agile. My ferrets love to climb in my bed and it is safer to give them a easy and safe way up and down, than to try to stop them. A cat tree or stairs will do the trick.
i work at a pet store where one of our two ferrets got adopted by itself. the one who was left behind is very lonely. ive been researching and saving up to take him home and hopefully rescue another ferret to be his companion, given he doesnt get adopted by then! these videos are such a great help!
One of members of our business went into my wallet and took a hundred dollar bill. I looked at all their favorite areas only to see one sleeping next to the money. My kids were like they are starting their own business of selling toys!
These videos are very, very accurate, but all very intuitive if you're used to dealing with animals and putting yourself into their perspective.

I just realized i probably have the most ferret proof room in our houss lol I have a wood bed frame and wood under my bed so he can't chew my mattress, I have literally no space underneath my door, my dresser doors are always closed, I hang up all my purses and back packs, my windows are very high up and out of reach and I dont have any dangerously scented things in my room because I used to own a conure and I neved got rid of the habit of getting ready in the bathroom instead of my room, I have had plenty of walking practice do to a little pig we raised that chases our feet. I am bringing my ferret home today after lots of research, hope for fhe best!

Doing research on different pets I can have that would suit small apartments. My last pet was free roam rabbits and I had to rabbit proof the place such as protect computer cables, books on the bookshelf, wooden legs of the furniture as rabbits love to chew. I know ferrets are carnivores, but have you had issues with them cable chewing and such? Cheers, loving learning about such cute critters from your channel.

I’m 16 years old and was actually thinking about getting a ferret, I’m kinda a dropout and I’m home all day every day. I think I’m really ready for the challenge, and I don’t have any of these problems in my house. But I was actually wanted to know if it’s ok to actually keep it specifically in my room because we do have a family dog. Is that ok? Or does it need more room?
hm, i adopted 2 ferrets and i don't have any other pet besides them 2 but if you do get a ferret you should let it explore the house whenever your dog is asleep or taking a walk. If you let it go around the house even ocasionally it could be alright to let it be in your room for majority but just make sure to make your bedroom ferret proof. They are totally worth the care and attention daily because they bring so much joy to your life.
i think you can keep it in your room most of them time, but take it out on a walk or explore other spots in the house. so having it mainly in your room is okay but you should take it out of your room sometimes

Hello, I live in France with my two dogs who have had a difficult past, they were able to grow up with my old ferret who lived completely free at home. At home my ferret played and slept with the dogs (in winter she liked to sleep between my legs). She accompanied us on our outings, she was always in my hood or on my knees (I'm in a manual wheelchair), as soon as I put her on the ground, the dogs automatically watched over her.
I spend my days taking care of my animals, unfortunately for the moment I live in an apartment, so we go out most of the day (with their difficult past, I do everything for their well-being).
The day I have a piece of land or at least a garden, I will build a secure enclosure for my ferrets so that they are safe there and cannot run away. Before the construction of the enclosure, I will dig a false pit between 50cm and 1m deep (between 20 and 40 inches deep), to the dimensions of the future enclosure. On the sides I would build low walls and I would pour a small concrete slab pierced with small copper tubes to evacuate rainwater, the slab will rest on a bed of gravel for drainage. I would fill the tank thus created with the extracted earth, they could dig but not escape and I would build the enclosure on the low walls.
Then I could finally tackle the development of the enclosure to recreate a natural environment for them. There will be small shrubs and Aromatic plants which will be intended to scare away parasites such as fleas, ticks and worms (mugwort, tansy, Garlic, lavender, peppermint, Rosemary, basil, Indian lemongrass), their smells will be enough to keep the parasites far enough away from the enclosure, moreover by rubbing there the ferrets will have a light pleasant and natural perfume.
I will sink a small basin into the ground to make them a basin in which they can cool off and play, possibly with a piece of pond tarpaulin and a solar pump, I could even make them a small stream with a small waterfall.
With straight branches 1-2 inches wide I would make a small log cabin for them and a small play area with macrame netting I would custom make, the play area will be on sand to cushion falls .
I could then create a tunnel for them so that they could go from the house to their enclosure and back to the house.

Yes, it will be work, but I like manual labor, working the land, taking care of my animals and doing everything for their good. Anyway I don't have a job so I take the opportunity to do what I love.
As I like manual work, I take the opportunity to do things for my dogs. I collect wooden pallets that I dismantle to make furniture, for my dogs I made a basket (90×120cm / 35.5×47inches) on which I put a baby mattress (60×120cm / 24×47inches) that I found. I plan to improve the basket by building storage lockers (sheets, mattress pads, plaids, towels and toys) that I would put under their basket, on the basket I would make a mezzanine (60×120cm / 24×47inches) to put a second mattress for that they have more space, on the side of the first basket there will remain a free space (30×120cm 11.5×47inches), I would make stairs there to help them go up and down, under each step I would make drawers to store their papers , sweets and saddlery. In macramé, I made collars, harnesses and leashes for my dogs.
I see that you are lucky to have an exterior, you could do the same for your ferrets, they will be happy to be able to spend time in a corner of nature. You are lucky to have a man in your life, together you can do more than me alone.
To prevent your ferrets from digging into your potted plants, you can put large stones in them that they won't be able to lift, which you can bring back from your outings in nature and at the edge of the water.
I had a third dog, who had the most difficult past, she also grew up with my old ferret, alas she left us eight months ago, we had become really close.
The youngest dog I had was weaned off alcohol by a father who sold her to me to buy his cam when she was only six weeks old. The other two were beaten and then abandoned the first was only five months old, and the third was only six months old, she was completely panicked and starved.
Seeing everything I do for them, my dogs like to thank me by towing my wheelchair, so I bought them sport harnesses. With me they found a good Human Company that they don't want to lose, so they watch over me a lot and they saved me three aggressions by repelling the aggressors (welcome to the modern world).
Now I am looking for a Nordic-type puppy (Husky, Samoyed or Malamute), to go mushing and experience many adventures in nature. While offering them a good life, I could create many memories with photo books for my old age.

I highly recommend not allowing your ferret (or any other pet) under your bed at all. You can either block it off or put the bed directly down on the floor. I haven't heard specifically of ferrets being crushed, but small dogs and cats have been injured or even killed when a bed slipped out of the frame and fell on them.

i think you should get them in the cage if you're getting out as long as it is not a long trip because if you let them free roam while gone even short period of time they may cause disasters and if you get them in the cage for too long they may get agressive

I got one 2 days ago and im training it to not bite so hard and ITS WORKING i put it in a timeout box (dark n boring) for 2 minutes when he bites way too hard but i still encourage the playful biting.

I need some advice. All of my living room furniture are recliners. They don't have legs I can take off. They have these solid metal bases they sit on. My ferret can access them from the backs and sides. She was ok with them for a while. She just hid under them but lately she's been digging everywhere a lot. The foam is high up inside. The only foam accessible to her is in the underside of the seats, but that's what she's digging at. I have no idea how to block it off and I can't get new furniture. My furniture is 20 years old but I don't want it destroyed any more than it already is. I'm really more concerned with her eating the foam. I've been using positive re-renforcement to call her out from under it. I have a squeeky she comes to most of the time and she gets a treat. This works ok sometimes but there are times she won't listen and she's very determined. My last ferret was never a problem with the furniture (plus it was different furniture). I've secured everything else, this is the one thing I don't know how to fix. I've thought of trying to put something around the underside edge of the furniture (a couch, a loveseat & a chair) but I'm not sure what I could use or how to attach it. If anyone wants a visual reference, my furniture looks similar to Berkline southgate couch on Raymour and Flannigan's website. Thanks!!

I think it depends on if you can remain calm when you pick up your bitey ferret. If you are scared and grab them quick and jerky, I'd recommend gloves, so you can remain calm and slow.

Hey love, what would you recommend for ferret-proofing a couch from the top? We have couches with attached cushions... But deep in the corners are holes to the inside of the couch and my girl loves to weasel into there and then pop out but dodge back in before I can grab her to (carefully) pull her out.
I'm not a great sewer... And the ferrets like to bite and pull at duct tape... If I stuff the holes with towels, they'd just bite and dig at the stuffing til they could get in...
Suggestions?
I would just make sure that you are with your ferret whenever there on the couch and make sure they don't even get near the corners, preventing them from dashing into them or getting into them.

I would recommend any holes to proof them. I know that seems like something reasonable but me being forgetful I’m gonna have to remember the holes in the carpet my previous hamster made to get into the walls to cover them for when I get ferrets.

If you have a bedroom garbage can put it somewhere high! Same with in your bathroom or just close the door. My ferrets love trashing my stuff and it's so useful to put stuff like that up high cause then they can't trash it

A good tip about plants: If you have a plant that hangs low and you still cant seem to get it out of your ferret's reach, spray it with lemon or PREFERABLY vinegar. They will stay away and definitely not try taking a bite. This a good and harmless way for both your ferret and plant. Feel free to even spray the soil. (be careful if your plant does not too too well with more acidic soil)

What do you use for Cord control? Our ferret cage/room is in my home office. (I work from home). They have the entire room to explore but being an office we have cord, power, internet, ect. I have the open ports plugged with baby safe plugs, and I have the wires as covered and the main areas blocked with heavy mesh netting to keep them out, but there are still wires open. Do you use the Pet bad taste spray/gel? Just don’t want them chewing while I am away.
Hi I need more advice of couch proofing. We have had to throw away multiple couches now because our ferrets climb inside, tear them to shreds, and even poop inside the couches. We always remove the feet and put the couch directly on the floor. However they are able to climb into the couches from the top under the cushions. I can’t find a single couch they cannot climb inside and it’s become extremely frustrating. Thank you.
