Bmw Z4 boot soft close fault - fix!

If you are having problems with your boot not locking or soft closing, then you probably have a broken cable.
This can be repaired or you can replace the whole mechanism if it’s in a poor condition.

Thanks. Mine is on its second repair as well. If you buy one on eBay don’t you get the same problem later on or have they redesigned the system?

How do you release the cable connectors without breaking them?
