  • This is the most iconic little bag for Christmas 2023! In this video, I show how I made the acorn-shaped bag step by step. I had a lot of fun experimenting with leather to achieve the result I was looking for. I am very happy with the outcome, and I hope you like the idea of using everyday materials as stamps for your leather projects.
    The leather pattern for this bag is available in two sizes in PDF Format for hand cutting
    and with be available in CDR/AI format for laser cutting.
    Dimensions approx. :
    -13cm x 12cm x 11cm (small size)
    -19cm x 16cm x 15cm (medium size)

    How to make the lines without the press machine?

    • @EleanaWorkshop
      @EleanaWorkshop  5 месяцев назад

      Experiment... You can place a flat surface on top of the leather and try punching with a mallet, for example.

    Whats the press you use for the stamp?

    • @EleanaWorkshop
      @EleanaWorkshop  5 месяцев назад

      I use a 18T hydraulic press. However you can use any clicker press machine (like Vevor) or the Sizzix big shot Pro machine

      I have owned a large 100W laser cutting machine for the past two years, but I haven't utilized it extensively. The majority of my projects are still cut by hand. I'm not entirely satisfied with the laser cutting machine, which is why I don't feature it in my videos. Additionally, as I'm not a laser expert, I worry about making mistakes myself, and it's not always the machine's fault.
      I plan to invest in a new laser machine that is space-saving, affordable, and efficient.

    Very cool design! Where can I find more info about the pressing device you used to imprint with string and sandpaper? I've never seen that done before, very interesting.

      Thank you for watching my video! I own a hydraulic press for leather cutting. It's an expensive and heavy machine for professional use. There are other machines like Sizzix big shot Pro, a bookbinding press, or the vevor press that will do the job as well 🙂

    • @EleanaWorkshop

      yes, you can use a manual clicker press as well. I have used the Vevor press and it worked as well as the hydraulic press

    Nils Beardfoot did that before... you just stole his idea.

    • @EleanaWorkshop
      @EleanaWorkshop  10 месяцев назад +8

      Hello, Sherlock! My inspiration came from the Ice Age movie. I hope they don't mind that I used their idea! Just for educational reasons, even if I was familiar with Nils' work before reading this comment and decided to create my own version of his bag, it's not stealing. Numerous tote bag patterns out there share the same shape. Did all the designers steal from the first one? I designed this bag from scratch, investing hours to perfect it. What gives you the right to dismiss all my efforts and work? There's someone else with a completely different design inspired by the same source! If you appreciate his pattern, feel free to support him, but don't belittle my efforts!

      @osa313 uh...acorn pouches like this have been sold across the country at renaissance faires for at least the last 20 years. Probably longer. It's really more about putting your personal touch on things than making a totally new idea in a lot of art and craft
