Seeing this movie brought tears to my eyes and nice soundtrack!
+07wmtc Oh my brother. I feel you 100%, i lived almost the same. Just with the difference that in our "relation" i wasted a lot of time and fell into a depressive state after breaking up. But after that she become like an inspiration to recover my life. So im very greatful with this person and will always have her in my heart. Sometimes i still talk to her and realize (seeing her situation with her husband) that she just is not a good partner to be as a couple. she just cant help it. But as a friend she is beautiful and a very inspiring person. You have to find her my man, internet nowadays is a great tool for that , its all im saying. (and sorry for my bad, bad english)

October 2022: I saw this classic a few nights ago on Peacock. I teared up several times AGAIN, just like I did the first time I watched it. I'm 54 now. I had forgotten just how wonderful the movie was, a true gem! Two great scenes for me: one being where they are at the state line and one the other when they pass each other in the hall, glancing at each other... and both of them looking back, too. I cannot get enough of this song. Watching the scenes and listening to this song to me is amazing. I too shed the water when watching this movie to the point it hurts. I have seen the movie at least three times and want to again, only if I could stop the crying. It made only around $50 million and the critics did not like the movie. I have not understood why on both accounts. I did not know about it till a friend's teenage daughter told me about the movie and let me use the VHS, at the time not long after the movie had played.
If this album proves one thing, is that pop music on the radio can mean something. This song touches me in a special way. Some people think all music on radio sucks. This proved me wrong. Oh, and Gregg Alexander > Marilyn Manson. It's not even close.
