Thorndon Park Playground

The long awaited Thorndon Park playground is now officially open for our Community to explore!
This morning, local Kaurna and Peramangk man Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley gave a Welcome to Country before Mayor Jill Whittaker and the Hon. Tung Ngo MLC on behalf of the Hon Stephen Mullighan MP, officially unveiled a plaque and declared this brand new, all-inclusive play space open. The event was attended by numerous State and Local Members for Parliament, Elected Members, staff and of course some very excited families!

Unfortunately, you will have to wait just a little longer to ride the large heron slide, which is awaiting final safety sign off. We understand this may be disappointing to hear, however safety is the priority. All other equipment is ready and waiting to be explored!
