Even after 30 odd years, this scene still hurts. Never forgot the day me and my bro-in-law played this master piece of a game and when this scene happened. First time in a long time, did I ever cry to a game. Even my bro had to put the pad down and roll a Joint to calm his sadness.

Yeah, a lot of it is probably nostalgia, but these remakes are amazing and they trigger nostalgia like you wouldn't believe. Can't wait for the HD version, I am thrilled out of my mind.
I just started playing it again because I am that excited...I almost made a Steam account, but I found my PS2, controller, and PS1 memory card and lit my TV and surround sound in the 4:3 stereo goodness... 16:9 5.1/7.1 surround sound is going to blow me away.

I didn't hate him more, I hated ShinRa. Those SOBs genetically modified a human/monster hybrid and pushed him to the brink when he found out the truth of himself. Basically, they made an unstable creature that went insane. I'd already felt bad for Sephiroth, now I ached for Aeris and the whole party for having to clean up after ShinRa's indiscretions.
Her death is the saddest of entire series... although she never died really cause they brought her back in kingdom hearts so technically she's alive and well :)

What about Mass Effect and The Witcher? Their stories are just as good and heartbreaking.
