Hair spray, or a non alcoholic aerosol is a tip I keep coming across. I’m about to give Patrick’s One Size Makeup Setting Spray a try… on an indoor blackboard. It claims to be moisture resistant. It’s a bit pricy but I have it on hand. Will comment again to report the results.
Water does NOT wreck these signs. You will need to use windex to get off the large markers and the small ones are perminent so we just paint over them.

If it’s an outdoor sign, doesn’t water wreck it? What should be used for sidewalk signs like these but smaller?
