New skate day!!! Pleasant, unscripted, genuine, down to earth. No BS or narcissism. Coming to this channel is relaxing and inviting when the skater talks like a skater, not a corporate sellout. I'm really looking forward to the reviews. 😎
Thanks for you review! Im looking into switching to these ones, I have a pair of Twisters LE, but I think they are to narrow for my feet, I always end up with a pain in my navicular bone on the inside part of the foot, the bone is even growing which makes the problem worst, I hope these would fit better
Nice unboxing video. I've been in the Lightning 80s for a few months and they're great. I have wide feet and also wear minimalist shoes (Vibram toe shoes) so the wide boot is a plus. Memory buckles are great.
How big is the difference between the wheel sizes? 80mm vs. 90mm? I'm faced with the decision of Twister XT or Lightning 90. Getting back into skating after 20 years. My old K2 Velocity 78/74mm should finally be replaced. Do you have any tips now that you've skated both?
If you can try the Twister XT on first (some people have pressure points around ankles) and are ok with 80mm, then I would recommend them, as they are a more premium boot. (Much stiffer and built for a beating) The Lightnings 90s aren't as stiff and probably won't take a beating as well. But they do run wider and are more comfy compared to the Twister XT. It ultimately depends on what kind of skating you are planning to do. 80mm is really light and agile, great for tricks or messing around in one spot, but will not be that great for distance vs. 90mm. I am really liking these memory buckles on the Lightnings. Hope to see them on more skates.
@@BINY_ChannelAre these new Lightnings like the RB Pro x in how they fit or better? Also, do the XT and old Edge X skate still have the same boot or are the XTs slightly roomier in the toe box?
@@BINY_Channelyeah man, on my arches. I’ve come to taking all the insoles out and just riding on the boot which feels best for the longest period I’ve ridden.
Tired, beat up blisters badly. I’ve taken everything out thinking there was some sort of rubbing. Ive tried the exact same insoles as my previous pair. Nothing but trouble with these lightnings, even though I think they’re great skates.
Blisters usually mean your skates are too big. There's probably too much space around your arch in the boot. Which is allowing your foot to slip around and create friction. You might want to get a thicker foot bed/sole so there's less space for your foot to slide around minimizing the chance of a blister
Great review, I'm new to skating and couldn't figure out what the difference between the new latch system and old one was, you explained it perfectly.

Nice review! Love the buckle design on these.

I received mine in pink yesterday and i wish they had black wheels! But i'm looking forward to finally try them, they seem to be comfy 😊
The latch mechanism is pretty cool. As is this video 😎
i got these aswell , they are amazing for the price. very comfy. i just put 3x 110mm frames on them immediately, cause 90mm is just too small for me.
2:07 sir, that color way is the BEST that taupe color with the anthracite looks immaculate 🤌🏽
Will you prefer the boot Of the Lightning or the boot Of the Maxxum Edge?
You can open the buckle completly… i did a YT-shorts video about it
That is an attractive buckle. Reinforcement on the lining cuff is useful. Are mounting points usually removable? Great unboxing.
They're removable on cheaper skates and aggressive skates. They're not integrated into the boot. They just stab into the boot with these two spikes.
@@BINY_Channel Thanks. Having only owned one pair of skates and being interested in various types of mounting, this is helpful.
These are my first skates ❤
Great video! How does the cuff flex compare to the Twisters?
Hopefully they are progressive flex and are not liner flex🤞
It's similar to the Twister but definitely a bit more forward flex
@@BINY_Channel Thanks! Hopefully not to the point that it feels like skating a mid cuff boot 🤞🤞

These things have been eating my arches alive
Like blisters? How so? I haven't had any issues

Is it sharp pain/numbness on your arches? Blisters? Or just a fatigued and strained arch?

These killed my feet!! Tried for over a month to break them in..no success.
Damn! What about the rollerblade twisters or XT are they too narrow?
