I'm glad to know Old Reliable is still in T8 with BOK 3+4. I could always cheese out a perfect round win with Hard Knockdown Sidestep (If you read your opponent just follow them), B1, 4, BOK 3+4 into more oki at the wall in T7.
Thank you for making this video

Good stuff as always, been learning Leo for about two months now, your vids have been a great help, thank you. One suggestion though: could you include the inputs on the screen? Would make it a bit easier to digest. Cheers

Hey Richie did you try KNK2 at the wall? Do you think that’ll beat wake up options? I know you can duck it but like you said a lot of people are probably not trying to crouch at the wall and get blown up with a mid splat

This is a little new to me so I haven’t tried out absolutely every option but the results in ranked have been really positive when opting for knk 3,4 or knk1+2 then sweep to catch either tech roll, I think being able to delay the option from knk makes this even more threatening

Another tech I use frequently at the wall when they try to get up is I wait for a second or two and do F4 and if I see it lands on counter get full launch. If they block either cancel knk F4 or finish the string into 4 half the time they block. 😂

Try to lab db 1+2 instead qcf 1. Even without wall its create strong oki. If they
Wake up backward you can ff2 and get 80 damaage with lighting glare. At the wall yoy can bok witch especialy on heat give bok 1+2 heat dash if they sideroll up b 3 is garant if wake up back +18. If recovery kick +3 with heat activate

    Can you make a video explaining the wall combo of f4, knk3,4 T! 2, d1+2, bok1+2, stomp?
I'm confused on when you can add the 2 after the tornado, because just trying to test it in practice mode, if I wall splat with df2 when at the wall I can add the 2, but if I split with a db3 at the wall i can't?
I do not understand the difference here or when you can add it or not for the extra damage.
Otherwise it seems better to just do more of the normal combo of b1,4, knk3,4 T! ws1,2,1 instead because it looks like to me that it does more damage if you can't add the 2 in the the other wall combo.
Doesn't seem like there's really much of a difference in the Oki situation either between the two endless there's something I'm missing there as well.
    Thank you .

You can add the jab when you get a high wallsplat

I can't tell what is considered a high wall splat or not, especially when db3 hits them higher than df2 and it doesn't work and seems close enough to be a similar kind of wall splat.

    • @CosmicVoid420
      @CosmicVoid420 2 месяца назад +1

that combo only works if you get a fresh wallsplat.
so like if the opponent is standing up back against the wall and you splat them with df3 or any other wallsplatting move.
if will not work if you carry them to the wall like from a launcher.

  • @CosmicVoid420

I don't understand when you would ever want to go for that qcf2b wall combo?
It literally does no damage, the oki and frame situation is quite bad. It leaves you at +2.
Also in the video I think you were pressing late. Because KNK 1+2 loses to toe and spring attack, but trades with wakeup kicks vs the CPU.
So you have to use KNK 34 to beat toe, spring and wakeup kicks. However that loses to staying down, standing up and tech rolls.
Therefore you are basically just giving up damage and putting yourself in a situation where you have to guess on how the opponent is going to wakeup. Since there aren't any high coverage options.
Whereas with the normal ws141 wall combo, it does way more damage and actually leaves you with more frames at +12.
Since wall combos actually got buffed across the board in Tekken 8.
You are now plus after pretty much every wall combo even after ending wall combos with big shoulder moves like Leo ws1+2, Drag ws1+2, Lars f1+4 etc in Tekken 8, whereas you were minus in previous Tekken games.
If the opponent is going to do something like a toe, spring or wakeup kick you can smoke them with u1 after the ws141 wall combo.
Also after the ws141 wall combo d4 is actually guaranteed if the opponent does anything besides tech roll.
qcf3 is also guaranteed after the ws141 wall combo if the opponent does anything besides tech roll or hold b to stand up and block. The qcf3 will also realign and track to tech rolls as well.
