How I love this song....no, how I like listen when he sings it... just heartbreaking. He able to convey such deep feelings through the voice and emotional perfomance...just amazing.
This clip does not show a "good" PHS performance. It shows a song that is difficult to sing and he does it a bit carelessly. But i think (after seeing thousand of PHS clips) this is marking the change and development to be the artist he is now and has been for the last app. eight years. This is just after he met JJI that in my opinion has done marvelous development, knowledge and musical support to PHS. Much praise and credit should be given to JJI. PHS is a master of singing as well as musical artistry. He is outstanding!!!
@Mikael B Check out "Goodbye My Love" from the same concert at Hangang Kanji Park. The voice is husky in the mid register, there's a lot of physical tension in the neck and one or two of the big notes are coarse. My guess is he wasn't in the best of health, but, as they say, the show has to go on. But one night doesn't undo the fact he is a formidable singer, one of the very best, imo, and there are LOTS of other beyond superlative performances on YT to see instead.
