- MK Party Spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela says the party has withdrawn its bid in the Electoral Court to nullify the 2024 May polls.
After three weeks of intense discussions to form a government of provincial unity in Gauteng, the executive cabinet for the province was announced yesterday with the exclusion of the DA. Gauteng ANC spokesperson and chief whip Lesego Makhubela says their doors remain open for the DA.
AND New Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson says there will be no lavish lifestyles for Members of the Executive and Parliamentarians, but his Deputy Minister Sihle Zikalala says there
was supposed to be a consultation with other departments. When I asked if Macpherson consulted, he said “I am not his Spokesperson

The DA have the bulk 600 out of 700 of the highest number of votes countrywide.
The ANC have about 50.
The ratio is 30:1 in favour of the DA.
That's odd because the National results have a 40% ANC majority to 21% DA, that is 2:1 in favour of ANC.
Statistically this is highly improbable.

Cabinet's size is up to the ANC President not the DA. The DA made it clear they want a smaller one. Cyril made it bigger to dilute the DA quantities and keep ANC internal interests happy.

Thanks for the explanation from MK. Withdrawal is temporal. The matter must go back to court. However, if the electoral court wants to dismiss matter by responding by means of a MEMO , then MK must withdraw case. The electorate needs a public transparent court case. MK must take the time to regroup and send matter back to court. IEC cannot be left to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result -thats INSANITY. Nor should it be allowed for electoral court to dismiss case using a memo to MK. Court hearing is key. Otherwise MK must find other avenues

They can be compelled to provide that evidence to prove that elections were not rigged, therefore the case is still on, just withdrawn for gathering of more (all available) evidence to ensure victory. Remember that you cannot provide piecemeal evidence in court. MKP is correct is more evidence is still gathered.
