The way he keeps walking to the plate 😂 "let me eat, woman"
😂
Me when I’m hungry 😂
Let’s not assume their gender
Omg he just keeps coming back😂
@Harry Johnson naaah because he is full
That was a lot of help because I am about to get a Russian Tortoise for my birthday
Kaitlin Jester hey! How’s it going with your tortoise?
Oh my your going to love it. My little Russian was the best decision of my life so far.
Lol same
that seems like a big surprise!! XD
I just found this and can't thank you enough. I have been trying to find a basic answer on just what my russian should eat. Everyone says different things or I get a long long list of can and can't. Apparently I have some smarts as I managed to put together a decent variety but I am happy to know exactly what she can have.
That's a fast tortoise!
They are fast.
Feed him potato make comrade strong
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha, and vodka to
Onion Boi strong like bull lol
So informative, and I'm happy to see you again!!!!
Dandelions (make sure not treated with chemicals) are a great food source for tortoises in the summer, too! (We live in MN...) 🥬🐢
Let him eat 😂 he just keeps coming back
Great video sums up a lot of what I have heard
Your tort is so adorable
Thank you! This video helped me alot
i love tortoises thumbs up!!
This really helps, thank you!
Thank you so much this helped me a lot
Thank you so much for the help
Great advice.. from another tort owner 👍
great video thank you
I just got a russin tortoise she is 2 inches I love her name is meadow I know how fast they are live this video thank you
Hi, this video was really helpful. I was wondering how much a should feed them? Some people said depending on the size of their shell, my tort's shell is 4 inches, but I don't know how much I should feed.
See how much he eats in 30m
Cupcake was persistent! Clearly he wasn't intimidated by the humongous hand in the slightest. My lil guy (Tiberious) is much more reclusive and rather anti-social. Perhaps a diet rich in leafy greens such as those of the mustard and collard family would improve his attitude?
Is it the same for Russian box tortoises
How often do you feed him?
just made the like button hit 1k
I got a Russian tortoise three days ago he is only eating alphalpha nothing else and even alphalpha so less maybe 5 to 6 small alphalpha leaves a day and he sleeps most of the time what should i do?
Do you put calcium every meal and the multivitamin daily? how often do you feed your Russian tortoise in a day? I’m a new Russian tortoise owner and have no clue 😅
Easy, Vodka and Semechki.
and USA hate
And pierogi
With repti calcium and vitamins
Thanks I just got a tortoise he is just a baby and I want to rise him good
Thank you for teaching me that because I just got a Russian tortoise
Can you only feed these aloe and grass?
That is one determined tortoise
This isn’t about feeding but can you keep two Russian tortoises together or do they prefer to be alone? I’m worried mine might be lonely, if they get lonely.
Addison Meek Tortoises are (generally) solitary animals. They do not need a companion to thrive. Keeping two tortoises of different genders together is not recommended, as the male may constantly bug the female in order to mate. Two males will fight for dominance and territory. Two females might work, but that kind of depends.
Where can I find the calcium thing
I know this isnt about diet but do u know how to remove paint from a tort shell I'm desperate for help PLZ REPLY...
Mia Bolman WHAT? How on earth did you get paint on a tortoise?
How often should I be feeding my russian tortoise?
My shelley is picky she will only eat romaine i tried every dark leafy greens shes funny she also doesnt like fruit so thats good...
Is it ok if I feed him something it looks like spinach but with a red stem and red lines on it
Sounds like Chard. It comes in the spring mix I get and my tort has been fine eating it. I think somewhere I read they shouldn’t have much of it (shouldn’t be the primary/constant), but ok in moderation
My new tortoise is a piggy like that too, always ready for food.
They love carrots too
i only feed my tortoises romaine lettuce can they live of only that or do they need more then only that?
A varied diet is always good!
My tort wont eat anything but lettuce, aloe and dandelions *just the flower tho* I've tried other foods but he nopes it out of his feeder
In your case I’d recommend putting tiny bits of lettuce on his food and then stop giving him it completely and he will eat the other food eventually
How much and how often should I feed my 2.5 inch wide, 3.5 inch long, 2 and a half year old tortoise
Ben Barton I would say once a day, and offer them as much food as they can eat in one sitting! 😁
So, I have a Russian tortoise and should I always sprinkle calcium on his food? Or just sometimes?
I use it several times a week. Care guides will also recommend several times a week (2-3 times is usually the most common suggestion). Offering a variety of foods also helps with natural dietary calcium intake. Thanks for the question and best of luck!
Reptile Quest Thank you!
Is Healthy Herp Vegi Mix ok good for Russians?
Same all 3 tortois dont like pellets
I feed my spring mix but noticed it has spinach
I’m just curious, what happened to cupcakes she’ll right above his head
Seems like a rescue
My Russian hasn’t eaten in 4 days and just sleep all day idk what to do it’s pretty cold in Minnesota so he might be trying to hibernate but idk
Does he have the right lighting? I wouldn't reccomend hibernating him for the first year you have him.
Wow, let him eat!!
From what I've read, and I've read a lot, cabbage, sprouts and the family (brassica) should be avoided. What's really annoying is that many websites, some that claim to be specialists, keep saying that it's okay to feed them these things. How can so many people keep getting it wrong?
Funny enough our Russian tortoise never touched any fruits and both him and our red eared slider hate any non natural stuff (our red eared slider prefers these frozen turtle blocks which have things he needs but cut small in frozen blocks to stay fresh as well as shrimp)so any pellets and the like they will never touch. Also our tortoise loves roses from our backyard. As for calcium he prefers a cuttlefish bone, he'll drag it to his den and gnaw on it before he sleeps
Do they eat everyday
Tenziie yes i feed mine once a day everyday
what happened to his shell?
That is from when our dog (ours at the time, she now is with my ex) Bubo managed to get into his outdoor enclosure and bit him. It was a minor injury that required little recuperation but she could have killed him. I use that as a cautionary tale to folks who let dogs near their tortoises. You can’t take your eyes off them for a second cause you never know what might happen. I’m so grateful that she didn’t kill him.
Hes a hungry boi 😊
HELPPPPPP!! I JUST FED MY TORTOISE BROCCOLI WHAT DO I DO??
My Torise doesn't like the pellets
I’m getting a pet Russian/ Hoursefeild tortoise so thank you for telling me what it should be feed
My Russian Tortoise, Edge doesn't like pellets either
Tortoises are faster than many people think
Mine only eats tomatoes
until this video i was convinced my little guy was going to die because the only thing he will eat is leafy greens. thank you so much

Магия ютуба - американцы отвечают на вопрос из России "как кормить казахстанскую черепаху". Кстати, почему она названа русской - загадка. Anyway, thanks for advice!
I just got a Russian tortoise baby but I don’t know what gender it is yet 😂😊😐☹️
what is the white powder on his food?
Vodka
Our tortiose has only had banana once because we lost him and used food to lure him to our family room, we used banana because of it's strong smell.
Where do you think he went& do you think 💡 he survived?
omg let the tortoise eat!
I just got a russian tortoise but shes not eating I'm worried shes one year old :(
Same with mine. It's the new enviorment. Give him a week or two
I just got mine too, I am really scared he will die and that he doesn’t have a proper space, I’ll tell you what I do know,
They don’t drink much water
They don’t eat much fruit because it could mess up their diet
You cannot feed him any dairy, bread or
celery
I need to go but that’s what I know so far.
@@viviwillowxo4774 she died... she was an ill tortoise from the start, was sold too young but we weren't told. Then she wouldn't eat anything... she had a good funeral. But thank you for the advice, this was a while ago and since got a different one, very healthy and growing.
@@idk-my1ho oh noooo! I’m really sorry. Mine just got a new terrarium and she loves digging :) I’m glad your new one is doing well.
Let the man eat!

I wish there was consistency in these vids
Oh dear please let the little guy eat
You’re Cupcake’s shell is messed up! Damn what happened?
Seems like a rescue
Avoid cabbage broccoli and spinach
Please feed me
Can you let him eat??? Please?!
Grass mostly that’s why they are on grass lands to eat grass on the the fucking grassland so grass
*feed him on a slate it prevents beak overgrowth*
Yeah cause in the wild they carry a slate plate with them...
@@KeepPDXWeird in the wild they keep their beaks trimmed but in captivity they need extra help. Feeding on a slate or a Terra Cotta pot dish helps keep their beaks trimmed
My goodness let the animal eat!!!!
you could’ve given him a piece while you took 10yrs to mix the greens smh
i would like to let you know that your torts beak is very over grown.
No berries! Really no fruit at all since they cannot digest the sugars. A little carrot is ok, but no squash and peppers. Stick to the greens, weeds.
Just please let him eat he's hungry:(
My Russian tortoise is a f****** a******
How so
