NINE is honestly one of their best albums. Mark finally let Matt have some input and it was noticable. California was garbage. All Marks band have the same generic sound
I’m almost crying seeing Derek back there- we didn’t appreciate him enough when he was in the band, he is one of the best drummers alive. Atom is doing wonderful but I’ll always kick myself for never being able to see alk3 with Derek.
It's great to see people listening to Alkaline Trio, I was listening to them back in like 1996 and trying to tell everyone but no one listened. Now I'm so old I didn't even know he sang for Blink.
Haha same! It was only when Tom came back did I realise Matt had stepped in. I'm jealous you were there in '96. I first heard them when Private Eye came out
Having seen him with both bands 2x each you can tell his heart is truly in Alkaline and it Blink. He filled the gap in Blink but was clearly not into it like he is with Trio
Saw them in Myrtle Beach not long ago and Matt was himself, performed well and sang his ass off... Also saw him in Blink and the energy was completely different.
One thing that has annoyed me about Skiba is one day he started doing this thing where the last word of every line he sings in this neutral, low, voice and trails it off. You know what I’m talking about? Well he didn’t do that in this performance and it sounds amazing.
@@Punkrides yeah he saved them from having dignity and not destroying their legacy with all the garbage the put out with him in the band, once matt skiba was in, it was the mark hoppus band, and it fucking sucked, sorry.
@@matthewwall3294 even still, if there is a second guitar player playing your songs bring that person out on stage. This kinda shit is narcissistic, makes you look at a band differently
The smile at 0:48 when Dan realises Matt is on key...
Glad Matt's back preforming with alkaline trio, blink fans are very ungrateful of him
Agreed
Agreed
I didn't understand the hate but Alkaline Trio is where Matt belongs
blink 182 hasn't been cool since like 2001 anyway.

Wow this is a fantastic performance of war brain Matt skiba can still sing this song beautifully
His voice is sounding a lot better. It turned to shit for a while
@@wide_awake yeah it did

Such an awesome, genuine, guy. It’ll feel weird not seeing him up there with them.
I'd shit myself if they opened with Warbrain.
one or their best songs forever.

Wow his voice is spot on
GOD DAMN WHAT AN OPENER.

I really, really hope Matt sticks to this over Blink and the rumours are true. This is Matt like I hope to see him.

Man Skiba is having fun! This is so great to see, thanks for the post!
thank you for this in my country alkaline trio is a religion and we dont have internet service we love you all
Love this band, great song to open with. I hope to see them one day.
Matt. is. in. his. ELEMENT!
I love matt most with alkaline trio
They put on a great show! My daughter got her 1st band shirt at a concert and it was an Alkaline Trio shirt. Great taste.

Amazing performance
One of the best trio songs!
My god they are so amazing live. I’ve seen them 4 times. Every time was amazing. This is my favorite song by then
Walks out like he's still in blink 😂
Yesssss. Thank you for this. This hits me in the feeels
I just saw them in SLC Utah, it was great but the weather cut their set short. They killed it, sounded fantastic.
My fav . Song

"Rise" by PIL
@@catastrophe1989 tHANK YOU~
se ven bien raros los de blink :o
matt skiba in blink is horrible, matt skiba in alkaline trio is great, this is where he belongs, what an accident his time in blink was.
It would be hard to turn down all that money.
Matt saves blink..

His time in Blink 182 has tainted him.
Are Alkaline Trio still hiding thier 2nd guitar player back stage lol?
Fuckin rock star nonsense
Think it's just cause, well, the whole trio thing.

@@temocil666 true, then again, doesn't matter that much. Music industry BS. Happens all the time
Can you point out where in the song you hear two guitars? I can't spot it anywhere.
@@quinnobropta2539 I originally was just asking if they were still doing that, not sure if they are at this show
