GREAT explanation, you can literally see how these examples cover many of the doubts we get through nomencleture. Thank you very much for this quality teaching.
N is used when the alkyl group is attatched to some amine fucntional group. Here, since alkyl group ( methyl group ) is attatched to 4th carbon atom ( numbered according iupac ) the name should be N-methyl.

I really watched so many videos you're the only one who explained it well . Thank you 😍
YOU can search Sanjay Pol for video
You sir deserve my respect. This video is spectacular when complaining this topic and the naming systems. :)
Amazing explanations for organic chemistry!
best video yet. very clear!! thanks
GREAT EXPLANATION SIR! THANK YOU VERY MUCH :)
thank you very much
Great explanations , thanks!
Very nice..
thank you sir for giving a excellent explanation :)
Thanks sir
Thank you for the great explanation!
Thank you!
helped a lot, thanks
THANK YOU SO MUCH my chem teacher just makes us copy
Sir que no 1 can we write this nomenclature or not ( N butyl amine ) or (2 amino butane
Thank you sir 🙏
Please tell me when do we use "-yl-amine" and when "-an-amine". I am so perplexed differentiating cyclohexanamine and cyclohexylamine.
google says they are the same thing
Is there really supposed to be a 4 before methyl or a N like this
N-Methyl-2-Hexanamine
the example at 2:54 ? It would be 4-Methyl-2-Hexanamine. Since the CH3 (or the methyl) is branched off of the 4th carbon in the carbon chain.
