Museum Curator Lori Wear takes us inside three of the homes, talks about the families who lived in them, and explains how their stories represent the growth of Bakersfield throughout the late 1800s.

We always went to the Bakersfield Orchestra for field trips. We would "sing along" with them. Even in grade school I thought is was lame.
Merle Haggards old box car home is now there too...I Love this place, hope to one day go there..

Where is the Native Americans part in this history? Oh that's right we wrote most of that out! Then we rewrote the rest. Not to mention other Not so grand and hidden things. Welcome to sheep village people come on in. Don't take me wrong, sheep village was cool, when I was 5.
