My daughter Larissa would have been amongst you for freshers week 2017. Graduated July 2022.
Loved the video! I'm looking to apply to Exeter and I'm from the USA but go to a french school and I'm half Italian (bit confusing lol) and I know Exeter is quite international which I really like. I was looking at all the different societies at Exeter and I was wondering if there are any stereotypes for the different societies? I mean from the ones I've seen I love the look of the ski or surf club, international society (since I would be an international student) and maybe the french, european or american society (just saw that the american one started aha) to find people like me I guess. I'm just curious what these ones are known for. Again, loved the video and your channel! Love from nyc x

Bea I love your comments!! I will definitely make a video about societies very soon! But I feel that something that could help you get the vibe better are interviews to people who are part of it! I will make sure to satisfy your questions!! Surf is my fave! Snowsports is like the popular ski/snowboard soc and european soc is really nice if you want to get back in contact with you french and italian routes! Hey Francesca! I’ve been following your videos for several months and I love them! Here is a question I would like to have your advice: I’ve been checking the freshers week activities and there are more than one organizer for parties, like FIXR and Original Sin. These are two I knew, I’m not sure if there are more. Anyway, what’s your suggestion on choosing the party? Thanks! Love from China

My suggestion is to NOT buy anything in advance! Instead, just go to your flat, see where everyone is going and do that!

How many hours do we really need to study in EXETER. Is it having a very difficult schedule to study,? Also put a video about what to do if you suddenly fall sick in University and how much cost will be there to get medical treatment in EXETER is you suddenly fall sick .
I’m thinking of coming here to do philosophy with a year abroad, how does it work with choosing a partner institution?
wow thats quite specific! i ll try and find someone to interview so i can see what they say about that! It depends if you are studying abroad or working abroad: if you are working abroad then its up to you to find a job, the uni doesnt really help you, its all your work. If its study abroad then you need to apply to the uni of choice and give your top 3 choices, then have a presentation with the uni explaining why you should go to your first choice. If you are chosen, great, if not they ll put you in your choice 2 or 3. The more competitive the uni and location, the higher the marks you want to get in your first year, it helps a lot! hope this helps i will find people to interview tho! xx
