  • Part 2 of footage I filmed between the early and mid 90's at the Petro off exit 104 of I-95. Some of the footage is great, some is just ok. I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I do, definitely takes me back to times when things were much easier! Enjoy!

Man those old units is what made me become a professional driver started in 1999 and me and my ol 379 still getting groceries praise God for his mercy and favor

This is so surreal to me, Me and my grandpa would stop there for fuel when I was a little and kid, and it has changed a little bit since then, but seeing all those 379s, 359s, and w900s just makes me want to go back in time to that era

Proud to say I started in 1977 and by the grace of God been trucking through it all. Started in a Pete 352 probably gonna Finnish in a Pete 379. Those we’re the days my friend we thought they’d never end. Coast to Coast.

Man those were some times. Pay was still decent. Real restaurants in truck stops. Phones in the booths. Fuel was cheap and hammer down in the large car. It was a different world out there. CB chatter was fun. CB was the lifeline.

Man..... This brings back memories! I used to stop at the 104 all the time. Mostly the Loves truck stop. There was a great CB shop there too, guy was outstanding! Still running the same Galaxy radio I bought there and had tuned.

Love it, back when trucking was still great! Miss those long hoods with the classic paint schemes. I doubt anyone will look back 100 years from now at the generic white, slope-nosed automatics of today and consider them classics. I'm glad you taped these and shared them!

In my opinion the early 2000s is the last decade that will have trucks that are consider classics. The only newer truck that might would be consider a classic is the Peterbilt 389

The yellow 359 in my thumbnail is still on the road working, its maroon/red now. We featured it back in 2002 in our online magazine and hopefully will have an updated feature soon.

I wish trucking would go back to the way it used to be when drivers us their CB Radios. You did not have to deal with all the emissions crap, back when fuel was cheap and back when most fleets ran the long nose trucks

It's funny because every conpany driver and person I know riding in those new trucks all dream of being in a long nose man, big power under the hood, manual transmission not that gay automatic junk. Man, what has happened to America. I dreamed of better stuff then this when I was a kid. Never thought I'd see the white house with a gay rainbow flag hanging from it.....
