Stephen what do you mean by saying designing a valve? do you mean an engineer to design a valve and the Manufacturer to manufacure what the engineer designs
I will try to share what I know - ASME B16.34 is Basic standard for Valves (Flanged, Threaded and Welding ends) for Material selection, Pressure and Temperature rating, Min Bore Dia, & Min Wall thickness of the Valve where in case of ASME B16.5 is used to Chcek or Design the Flange ( PCD, No. of Holes and Dia of Holes) Yes your correct its containing material table but not to prefer to use for design and API 6D Says to check the Group of Material in ASME B16.34 once again for design.
Great approach.... Understood very easily.. Thank you for Educating me
Quality content 👍🏼
Thank you very much.. I got many details about valves....💝
Thanks for making this very concise and to the point video. Can you please share the documents which you are showing in the video?
Great explanation
It was great. Thank you
Superb explaination
Thanks bro, appreciated.
Great
gas valve need maintenance?..lubrication ?..or free maintainance..
Hii..! Why you don't upload new video?? Your video is really good and you explain very well.. 👍
very informative
Next design tips please....API 6D check valve vs API 594 check valve..
Hi Stephan, can you explain how the pressure is seals for SPE and DPE. Also the self relieving. How self relieving is made?
Some place to download 3d models?
If you are discussing cavity relief you need to discuss DIB1
Pls help me to find document in which dpe and spe is explained with figures...
👍👍

Yes exactly.
Valve design engineer will design different valve by different standard and customer demand.
Can we know how the dia of ball is calculated as some people give smaller dia of ball to reduce cost. What should be optimum diameter of ball
thank you so much

Mr. Stephen, what Is the different between ASME B16.34 and ASME B16.5? Are materials listed on both of them satisfy the API 6D? Thanks
