    Great info as always. I use the area test on just about every project since learning that from you. I've learned the hard way not feeding my vinyl through Romeo first and having a "bubble" from my vinyl being crooked. With each project, I swear I learn something new but I'm enjoying the journey. 😉

    Nice one :) my experiance since most of us are DIYers we dont store vinyl/htv in dust proof cabinets. so they are dusty and have small dirt particles on the surface.
    so keep the surface on the plotter clean, where you algine the vinyl. i use a Lint free microfiber towel. the rollers clean with ipa/carpaint prep/rapid tac prep.
    i use different blades for different materials. for long cuts do a test travel. pro tip dont let youre cat inside the hobbyroom XD

      I had the same thought before I recorded my video. Blow the dust off.

    Thanks so much. I've had 4 vinyl cutters in the last 20 years and I've never had this happen. The rollers on these machines are finicky I see.

      You are welcome! I would say that Siser Juliet and Romeo rollers aren't as finicky as other machines out there.

    Thank you for making these videos. Do you know how to stop getting black marks from the rollers on my work?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад

      What is causing the black marks? Is it adhesive on the rollers? Is it too much pressure? Are you using a cutting mat or matless?

    Hello, I have a Romeo 24 sisser, which in the last month has not been cutting vinyl well. It's really not making me desperate anymore, and it's not the blade because I have changed the blade three times and the problem remains the same. And if I increase the pressure of the cut, it goes all the way through the vinyl.

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад

      That doesn't mean it is not the blade.... sounds like you need to test cut and work with the actual blade setting itself.... if you are cutting vinyl, you should barely see the tip of the blade at all.... then increase the force as needed.
      If you have damaged the cutting strip that runs below the blade housing, that could definitely affect the cut quality as well. Run your finger over it and see if there are any nicks or cuts in it. If there are, you may need to replace it.
      You are in charge of this machine more and most times it comes down to getting that perfect adjustment on the blade for your material.
      That can take time and testing... but once you get it... you'll get faster at it...

    Having lots of trouble recently with the accuracy of the outline cutting that my juliet is doing. Recalibration only shifts the off cut from left a bit off the line or a bit off the line on the right. It used to cut exactly all the way around the whole image, but it doesn't any longer. There's always just a bit of white showing somewhere around outside the outline. We checked everything and at a loss, exactly what happened. Its a brand new machine. Changed the blade, checked the software. Please help

      Is it off on all designs the same consistently? Or is it different as it goes down the page?

    Hi there! My Juliet is cutting angular lines across (at times up to half the page of) my letter size sticker paper and I’ve tried turning the machine off and on and same with my computer, I even started a new project and still it’s cutting where there are no cut lines. I’ve ruined so many stickers because of it and don’t know how to fix it. Do you know what may be wrong? I tried a different cutting mat too and that didn’t help either. The cuts are like intersecting zig zags! The project itself cuts fine but there are these extra cuts that ruin part of it.

      First, are you using Leonardo Design Studio to send your projects?
      If yes, then the top reasons for drag marks are:
      1. Blade depth is out too far.
      2. Material is bowed up in between the rollers, which means it's closer to the blade when it travels.
      3. Mat is warped or bubbled and not completely flat.

    • @PensAndAPlan
      @PensAndAPlan 9 месяцев назад

      Appreciate all those possible causes! I just bought a new mat and I’m hoping it will help. Thank you! 💕

    Hi, I have calibrated and when I was going to cut a design, it was able to pick up the first corner but unable to locate the second/ third corner. It went too far pass the corners and I was unable to use the arrows on the screen to relocate the red cross. I have repositioned the blade to the corner or the marking point on the page, but it did not pick up the second corner either.. The deign has a laminate on top and placed on a mat (custom mat). In Leonardo Design studio, I could not change the setting to Custom mat (which is strange), as they only allowed me to choose between the siser mats or generic mats. I dont know where I have gone wrong...

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@julienguyen8437 is the printer printing the correct size and not resizing the print in any way? Scaling up or down? That would change where the machine thinks the marks are printed.
      There are only certain size mat designations. That is not unusual.

      @@SwiftCreekCustoms thank you. I will watch your video first and test out again . The paper is the correct sizing. I will see if it needs recalibration again , and change the position where the blade is.. I have a feeling that might be due to the mat being bent and not staying flat enough..

      @SwiftCreekCustoms  5 месяцев назад

      @@julienguyen8437 ok - so yes - the mat needs to be flat. I would get a new one.
      If it arrived that way, contact Siser.
      The comment above was in reference to the actual printed images on the paper, not the paper size itself. The printer can scale the design it prints.
