    Thanks Irene! Although I haven't been able to join any of your major programs yet, I try my best with what your content which has been AMAZING btw! I feel
    like I take the bite sized info and put it into practice. Of course without a professional to guide me. I can tell I've put myself in positions where I didn't have yet the capacity and it's been hard to learn to navigate but trying my best. I have been getting better at building capacity and also I can tell when I'm experiencing stored past trauma or when it's something more fresh. I think part of it is because the sensations in my body - when I feel into them, they also visually come into a picture. they have different "sounds", sometimes colors and "loudness", etc, and it's how I can determine when it's old or not. Really connecting that way has been big for me. To release as well. Sometimes something has come back more than once. Sometimes it's light feeling while other sensations are heavy.
    Thought I'd share. Don't know if this is helpful for anyone. Thank you much! I love learning, and it's helpful. Kind of like when you go on a journey with a map. or you enter the basement with a flashlight. it's a helpful tool to make your trip most efficient.

    After decades of seeking through so many ideas and practices, from conventional psychology to indigenous healing, to New Age ideas and practices, and everything in between, this work Irene offers is finally hitting that one, fundamental “owwie” that nothing else could ever describe or reach. This is not intended as some kind of put-down to all the other really brilliant teachers and healers from whom I’ve learned so much and actually received tremendous benefit and growth from, but now I find I can’t engage with their work anymore, because every time I try, it just has this great big hole in it; shaped like the nervous system and it’s role in essential well-being. Every other modality or philosophy on self-healing, or self-“improvement” just feels like it’s missing the real point. This work, I think, is the keystone. Without it, everything else fails to fully accomplish the needed shifts. With it, I suspect, all the other iterations of healing take on different meaning. This work changes the whole landscape.

    By definition due to childhood trauma I’ve always been dysregulated but could sleep okay and had lots of energy I was like a Duracell bunny. I then got sick with CFS very severely and since I have severe fatigue and cannot sleep this has gone on for a few years now but I feel like my nervous system is never in the right branch i.e. the parasympathetic or sympathetic it feels like my nervous system has UNlearnt how to regulate itself. Is that a thing a bit like neuro plasticity and so therefore can I get it to relearn how to regulate again?

    • @IreneLyon
      @IreneLyon  Год назад

      D A, Jen here from Team Lyon. I'm sorry to hear about the not sleeping - that sounds tough. You asked if we can learn to regulated again - the answer is yes. It can take some time, and that's what Irene teaches people to do here on her YT channel and in her online course, the 21 Nervous System Tune Up, and her comprehensive program, SmartBody SmartMind. I'll link to info about those in case you want to learn more, and also to Irene's free Healing Trauma video training.

    I have a question about SBSM. Do I need to engage (make comments) during any of the live sessions, or is it ok to have your camera turned of and just listen? 🌳

    • @IreneLyon
      @IreneLyon  Год назад +1

      Bailey here from Team Lyon. Great question. If you don't wish to have your camera on during the live sessions, you can turn it off. You also are not required to comment. As a student, you will have access to all of the recordings of the live sessions. If you prefer to watch the recordings and not attend live, that is also an option available to you. I hope this helps. 🙂

    • @IreneLyon
      @IreneLyon  Год назад +1

      Hi Irene Duma, Seth here with Team Lyon. Yes, there is tons of anecdotal evidence, which really is the only kind you can get with such a topic. This book is a great place to start, written by a very straight-laced skeptical psychiatrist who encountered the phenomenon... www.amazon.com/Many-Lives-Masters-Prominent-Psychiatrist/dp/0671657860/

    For SBSM, if we aren’t able to attend the Q&As live, can we still submit questions ahead of time for them to be answered by Irene during the Q&As? Thanks

    • @IreneLyon
      @IreneLyon  Год назад +2

      Hey Raph, Seth here, Irene's hubby and colleague. I actually do all the Q&A calls and Irene does all the live training calls. Yes! You can submit your question in advance, in fact all questions need to be in 48 hours before the call so I have time to prepare. The calls are all recorded too and the replays are posted on our site.
