I love the randomness of this channel... I thought you would use a spoon or something to take a small taste at first.. But no... You use a massive beer glass and slurp it down with no f's to give... And then.... You do a refill at the end!! So awesome!
The slurping in this video and you pouring it onto the table made my day!!! I love how instead of stopping when you noticed you spilled it, you started laughing like a little boy up to no good and kept spilling it. Nice video!
I remember those 60s kool-aids tasted good-- made with Cyclamates as the artificial sweetener, which was banned in the US, but still used in some countries. The pink stuff (saccharine, Sweet 'N Low) basically replaced cyclamates, but saccharine tasted bad in comparison.
Kid of the late 70s and 80s so we always had either the name brand or more commonly the store brand mixes in the house. One packet by itself was always to weak when made per the instructions so either my dad or I would mix in 2 packets plus the additional sugar into a 1 gallon pitcher of water and ice only half full, so 2 quarts. Seemed to taste better. We weren't too sedentary back then so we could easily burn off the excess energy.
Yay i love old food!!! Very nostalgic especially stuff from the 1980s!!! Hey im always at estate sales etc... Maybe sometime in the future you can get a PO box and i can send some old estate sale items!!!!

So awesome to see your channel blowing up! I’ve been around since you posted the video about putting coins on the train tracks. I knew you’d gain subscribers eventually
Born in '64 and grew up in the '70's and would make Kool-Aid a couple times/month. Loved the grape flavor. Even had a Kool-Aid Happy Face Pitcher Tee shirt! And look, it's made with Saccharin, a carcinogenic artificial sweetener. Yum. Now days, it's gone to a toxic Aspartame artificial sweetener. Nice.
Yaaay I was hoping you would test the bugs bunny kool-aid! I can’t believe it still tastes good... that’s truly amazing! Your videos are so fun. Can’t wait for the next!!! 😃 🐰🥕
Kool Aid the official drink of the ghetto. Something that I still drink to this day. However most of the time we had to drink flavor aid lol. But at least now I can drink Kool Aid.
I think you should make/open an older version of things and a newer so we can see the visual difference and maybe you can taste the difference better ahah, just a suggestion. Cool videos
Use to love Kool-Aid when I was a kid in the 80's. Collected the points and ordered all kinds of things. A hat, shirt and plastic pitcher and cups. The pitcher is even displayed in my kitchen among other collectibles. Love the Bugs Bunny packet! Glad you were careful opening it. It would look great in a little frame!
Incredible. I just made some koolaid that is 5 years old and it's fine. I store my packets in a Tupperware bin. That Bug's bunny koolaid packet is so cool.
The Kool-Aid pack you have here is already pre-sweetened so that diabetics can drink it and not have to add sugar. Calcium Cyclamate and saccharin are the two sugar substitutes used here in your Kool-Aid package which was a common sugar substitute sweetener used in most diet colas, gums, and other products decades ago. Cyclamate is 30 times sweeter than sucrose. Sucrose is glucose and fructose, which is still being used today in most candies and chewing gums. Calcium Cyclamate was banned in the USA in 1967, because the FDA implicated cyclamate as a carcinogen. Saccharin was banned sometime in the early 1980's when a political move was initiated to replace Saccharin with Aspartame, which is a worse substitute. Saccharin can still be purchased at the grocery stores, but it has a warning label. My belief is that saccharin is safe to use, and Aspartame is not.
Good 'ol Kool-Aid, quite literally I might add. Invented by Edwin Perkins in my home state of Nebraska in the town of Hastings circa 1927. There is a re-creation of his general store and various Kool-Aid stuff in the Hastings Museum.
Looks like a lot of people are saying this is poison. Those of us who were children back then also drank the stuff. We are still here and did fine. As I recall, the 1960s Kool Aid required sugar. Lots of it. Pre-sweetened came later. 1970s perhaps.
The US banned cyclamate, while Canada banned saccharin, for the same reasons. Canada still used cyclamate in its soft drinks well into the 1980's. Prior to the introduction of aspartame in 1981, saccharin was the only artificial sweetener that was used in US soft drinks and diet drink mixes during the 1970's.
