The 505 is so iconic with the reversing mechanism. I love it. Picked up a Dragon for our collection only because it may be the most well known in the audio community.@@Round2Audio
AIWA XK-009 is much better than Dragon, AIWA XK-009 has a nickname; killer Nakamihci Dragon. the record made on the dragon plays well only on the dragon itself, on other decks it leaves much to be desired.
Yo realmente probé un Nakamichi DRAGON y la verdad quede impresionado, tengo cassette grabados en el DRAGON y en mi Deck que es un TASCAM 122 MK2 suenan muy bien, habría que ver en que condiciones estaba el DRAGON que tu usaste y bueno eso que hace el DRAGON que corrige el azimut en la reproducción (NAAC) no lo hace ninguno que yo conozca, eso lo hace superior a todos.
That is because the record head is out of alignment. Easy to mess it up by fiddling with the plastic gears under the head, not easy to align by a novice.
Just picked up a refreshed Dragon and your video is the best on the net for newcomers to this beast. Thanks for posting. Great job.

The Dragon has something no other deck has. The ability to automatically correct the azimuth after the tape being played, NAAC.

revox b215 or tandberg 3014 in my opinion looks better
A mi el Revox B215 me parece espantoso. Pero según he leído la mecánica es mejor que la del Dragon, pero aun así me quedo con el Dragon.
Tandberg 3014A one of my favorites. I like the Pioneer CT-F1250 also for eye candy, also the Tandberg 3004 that is often overlooked.

Pero por alguna razon nadie conoce a ese AIWA XK-009. Los dos rivales de toda la vida para el Dragon fueron el Revox B215 y el Tandberg 3014.
Many decks pretend that nickname. For one reason nobody says "Aiwa XK S9000 killer", "Teac V9000 killer" "Revox B215 Killer", etc, etc.
