It was a beautiful hike but the heights were not pleasant for Joel at all. But he was amazing and pushed through his fears. But getting lost and then losing daylight was not fun. But we made it! Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya

What a great old ranch! Love that adobe style. I missed a tub, but not now. 😂😂. No, to the rattler. Seen enough of those living in Texas in my lifetime. I almost stepped on one when I was a kid. Yeah, researching a hike may be the way to go with Joel. I know that was out of his comfort zone. (DDD Day). Hard to hike at night.
Rattle Snakes are no good and we bet you dealt with them a lot in Texas ! We thought a hike around the lake, no big deal, right? Nope- cliffs around the edge of the lake- yikes 😳 - It was not fun as it got dark & glad we made it back! Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
We ran into a 5 ft rattler a couple of weeks ago on a trail. It was terrifying. This looked like so much fun. Getting lost was just part of the adventure. 😁 Lynn and Danny
Yikes! No good on a trail- that would have been so terrifying!! It was a fun hike with friends, even if Joel pushed through his fears on it!! He had nightmares for a week about falling off cliffs! Thanks, guys
That looked like a great day! You got to hike with friends and the weather looked nice too. Always gotta watch out for snakes out here int he west right? If you don't have a few challenges then the hike won't be memorable :) Thanks for sharing - we have to look that area up :). Safe travels guys...
You are right - we should have completely stayed away!! It is dangerous being around BDR & the Border Hookups 😆 - guess we can't get enough living on the edge!!

The ones from Empire Ranch down to Parker Lake - it was an hour drive and like 18 miles
