There are three ways they could have made this figure near perfect: 1.Matt finish instead of the shiny plastic 2. A good quality cloth cape 3. Better articulated tail I still think that it is an amazing figure, but those simple modifications would have made him truly excellent. I would also prefer him without the throne for $40-$50 less. They should just give us King Cold with a cloth cape for $100 and sell the throne as an accessory separately, so people who really want it could get it. But I don't like the fact that we are being forced to pay extra money for it. I still want to get him, and I probably will, especially because he is going to sell out everywhere, and the aftermarket price is going to be insane. So might as well just buy him now, instead of paying triple some time later, I guess.
It looks like they kinda just grabbed the 2nd form Frieza figure (amazing release btw. Absolutely recommended.), upscaled it, then made it worse by putting the archaic 2.0 Saiyan/Frieza Force armor engineering on it, then gave it a tail with an awful permanent downward position fixed into it, then gave it a pretty mediocre hard plastic cape. So basically a pretty phoned in mostly reuse of another figure with a gimmick that you're better off getting a statue for that jacks up the price? The deltoids have this thing too that I don't like that was prominent on 1.0 figures where they stick out past the bicep rather than being flush, and it irks me. As for the two different craniums.. I can't speak for King Cold because the differences do seem pretty minimal between the two, but for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd form Friezas, they had alternate craniums because the brows were different to accommodate the facial features shifting around for yelling/screaming/gritting faces over calm faces. Not sure if they justify themselves on this guy, but seem like, again, a holdover from 2nd form Frieza, which they clearly heavily reused for him. Obviously not worth the money at all, but I have to say I'm agonizing over it. I have Final Form Cooler and 2nd form Frieza, and god does a part of me wish to have a King Cold to put alongside them. A family picture of big, smug lizards.
I can definitely see that theory of upscaling the 2nd form frieza body for sure. But I gotta say him sitting down alongside mecha frieza is really the only reason I got him pre-ordered.

I bought him for Review purposes and to have him in my collection. I can still dislike something and give info for others to consider if they'd like to get him in the future.

Which is fair and you’re totally entitled to your own opinion of a figure. But to buy an “expensive” figure that you knew was going to be “trash” and then whine about it just seems odd to me. But to each their own. I will say, the only real complaint I have is the huge plastic cape. I do agree, they should have gone with a cloth cape for this. But I’m sure someone will make one.
I can definitely see where you are coming from as well. Most of my complaints came from the frustration of working with the figure outside of the camera, which was attaching and swaping out parts. In addition, i had made a short when it was announced for people to not get it due to its pricing, etc. The cape is definitely a weird method of doing it. And in reality I did just get it for my collection and for it to look nice sitting next to my mecha frieza. There are some things that someone else pointed out in the comments which I agree with as well.
Just another man child whining about a toy and having a tantrum while failing to pose a figure and understanding basic instructions. Tons of "reviewers" like this but, after all, you are playing with toys, maybe having a tantrum and throwing around pieces is understandable
